Why is a platinum credit card only for good credit people?
High credit limit platinum credit cards require above average credit because of the issuer's financial risks. The credit card issuer evaluates their risk by reviewing your credit report to see if you have been paying obligations, including other credit card payments, on time.
If your credit report reflects negatively, or if you have no history available to show the issuer, you may be considered too high of a risk for a platinum credit card.

Visa
cards come in many types and are available for good or bad credit people. For
example, an AccountNow Gold Visa Prepaid Card, is not a credit card but a
prepaid/debit card that can be used as long as the person has funded their
account. If the card does not have any funds, it can not be used. It is easy to
load funds onto a plastic card many ways, one is through making a deposit, and
there are hundreds of locations available for the user to load funds. It takes
just minutes to apply and approvals may only take minutes.
These
cards are usually guaranteed card approvals because there is no risk for the
lender like an unsecured credit card. Using prepaid card offers is one way to
pay as you go, and have the benefit of using a card to make purchases or pay
bills. Prepaid Visa and prepaid MasterCard cards can be used anywhere their logo
is displayed. They are usually listed as prepaid or debit cards. Some examples
of some names of Visa
prepaid cards are the Green Dot Gold PrePaid Visa Card, UPside Visa® Prepaid Card,
and Walmart MoneyCard Visa Prepaid Card, each card has different benefits and
features for the member. Some offer cash back and can be easy to load at popular
locations.
Visa
also has unsecured credit cards where the member could choose their credit
limit, this type of card is not a prepaid or debit card offer. A card like this
may provide monthly credit reporting and may have fixed interest rates. There
are cards that can benefit people who want cash back rewards, travel perks,
hotel stays, and reporting to major credit bureaus. They have online account
management and online bill pay features. There are many card choices, for
consumers who want to apply for a Visa credit card.

Discover Financial Services Announces First Internationally-Issued Discover Cards
Diners Club del Ecuador Sociedad Financiera to Issue Discover Cards; Leverages Strong Diners Club Market Share in Ecuador
Discover Financial Services announced it has expanded its franchise agreement with Diners Club Ecuador (DCE) to include issuance of Discover cards in Ecuador. This is the first time in company history that Discover cards will be issued beyond U.S. borders.
As part of the agreement, DCE has been given the exclusive rights to issue Discover cards in Ecuador and will sub-license the issuing rights to Banco Pichincha, the largest bank in the country. Currently, DCE owns a market share of more than 40% by sales volume in Ecuador through their Diners Club products, and the complementary Discover card product was designed to further grow market share in the country. Discover cards will be processed on the Diners Club network in Ecuador, which boasts 100% merchant acceptance.
The new Discover card will initially offer a basic version of Discover’s award-winning cash rewards program, Cashback Bonus, which includes up to 1 percent cash back on all purchases. New card products and features will be rolled out over time, as “cashback” is still a new concept in Ecuador. Cash rewards can be redeemed for a gift card once cardmembers earn $20 (USD) or a statement credit once they earn $40 (USD).
“Discover clearly will benefit from the success of the Diners Club Ecuador franchise, which is a dominant force throughout the country,” said Diane Offereins, EVP and President of Discover Payment Services. “By leveraging DCE’s strength and expertise in-market, Discover has a tremendous opportunity to build its brand globally and share its most compelling attributes – including best cash rewards, service and value – with the people of Ecuador.”
“This agreement gives us the opportunity to expand our financial services product portfolio and introduce consumers in Ecuador to the Discover brand, which has a proven track record of success in the U.S.,” said Pablo Salazar, president of Diners Club Ecuador.

Get Your Credit Card Application Approved - Was your credit card application rejected? You never know when you may need that credit card for emergency loan funding. Take these steps so your next application gets instant approval.
First, find out why you were rejected by reading the rejection letter the issuer sent to you. If necessary, call the company for further details, if necessary. Some common reasons why a credit card application is denied are:
* Your application contained errors, mistakes or omissions. Perhaps you forgot to list your employment or income information, or you listed the current date of the application in the box for your date of birth.
* Your credit report contained errors or caused ID confusion. Maybe you have a common name and someone else with that name has bad credit and his data was incorrectly listed on your credit report. Or perhaps you had a bill you had forgotten about and is being reported as delinquent, or there are entries which are beyond the debt statute of limitations.
* Your employment history causes concerns. If you recently changed jobs or were unemployed until recently, you might have to wait six months or more or until you get a raise before you re-apply.
* Your credit record isn't solid. Although your current credit situation may be good, if you have a prior record of late payments or chargeoffs, etc, this can affect approval.
* Your having personal finance issues which are raising flags. Iif lenders suspect you're applying for credit due to a sudden financial crisis, they may reject you.
.
Next step is to resolve the cause(s) of your rejection. One good thing about rejection letters, is that they entitle you to receive a free credit report copy from the bureau used by the credit card company in making their decision. Additionally, you're entitled to free credit reports from all three major bureaus annually (TransUnion, Equifax and Experian).
Once you receive the report(s), fix errors, remove outdated entries which are beyond the statute of limitations, get caught up on bills, etc. You should:
Pay all your bills on time or early. You could set up automatic withdrawal payments or use free bill reminder software.
Pay down your balances on existing credit cards or loans so you won't have a high credit utilization rate.
Don't close credit card accounts which help you. Credit card companies become unsettled if an applicant has too much available credit. But if you close the card you've had the longest, that affects your credit history which also affects your score. Consider closing retailer cards that provide little benefit and just tempt you to shop.
Last step is to apply for the best credit card for you - not necessarily the one you want the most. If the problem(s) which resulted in your rejection was easily corrected, wait at least three months to apply for another credit card. Every time you apply that's an inquiry on your credit, and you want to make sure you spread those out over time.
But if you were rejected due to severe problems, it's very important that you shop around for a care you can qualify for before applying again.
If you're not sure, you can use a credit card matching service, or contact the issuers and let them guide you. Consider a secured credit card to rebuild credit scores. If you have bad credit and no credit card, apply for a secured card from a company that can later upgrade you to an unsecured credit card.
