Citi® Platinum Select® Card: The Citi® Platinum Select® Card, issued by Citibank, is designed for those with good credit who would like to take advantage of the various standard services and benefits provided by Citibank. This card has a reasonable interest rate for purchases and balance transfers, no annual fee, and an attractive 0% twelve-month introductory rate that can be applied toward purchases and balance transfers. It is important to note that there is a minimum cap for cash advances; so no matter how low the Prime Rate falls (the APR is tied to the Prime Rate), the interest rate will not go below the minimum cap. The card does provide several platinum cardholder benefits that include auto rental insurance, fraud protection services, and up to $1,000,000 in travel accident insurance. However, there are no extraordinary benefits or services specifically available to cardholders in comparison to some other platinum credit cards. Therefore, those who plan to take advantage of the introductory offers and the services provided will benefit most from what the Citi® Platinum Select® Card has to offer.

Chase Platinum Visa®: The Chase Platinum Visa®, issued by Chase, is designed for those who have very good credit and are looking for an overall good platinum card with a rewards program. Through the rewards program, cardholders earn one point for every dollar spent on purchases. Points may be redeemed for cash back, merchandise, travel, and gift cards. Points expire in five years, and there is a maximum of 60,000 points that may be earned per year. The credit card has a reasonable interest rate (for those who qualify), an attractive 0% introductory rate for up to 12 months on purchases and balance transfers, and no annual fee. Those who plan to occasionally carry a large revolving balance may find doing so costly due to the "Two Cycles Average Daily Balance" method used by this credit card to determine finance charges, which ends up costing more to maintain an occasional balance as compared to the "Average Daily Balance" method used by many credit card issuers. This platinum card does offer a variety of additional cardholder benefits that include travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, and free online account access. Therefore, those who have a very good credit history, want to participate in the rewards program, and plan to take advantage of the various additional services and benefits will find the Chase Platinum Visa® to be an ideal card. It is important to note that the various interest rates that can be applied to an individual's account may be confusing and should be fully understood before applying for the credit card.

Blue from American Express®: Blue from American Express® is an ideal credit card for those with good credit who already have an established credit history and are looking for a card with access to a reward program. Various American Express® services and benefits are provided with this card, such as purchase protection, auto rental insurance, a year-end financial statement, and various travel and emergency assistance services. For no additional fee, cardholders also have access to Blue's Fee-Free Rewards program, which offers members the chance to earn points that can be redeemed for various services and products. The rewards program is by far one of the best reward programs offered in the credit card industry, due in part to the variety of rewards offered with no yearly limit and no expiration policy for earned points. This card has no annual fee and a reasonable interest rate for purchases (for those who qualify), which makes it ideal for those who plan to occasionally carry a balance. The card has a 0% introductory rate for up to 15 months of membership that can be applied towards purchases. A 4.99% introductory rate is available on balance transfers for the life of the loan. It is important to note that the balance transfer introductory rate only applies to those who initiate a transfer when applying for the card. Therefore, those who qualify for the lowest rate offered and plan to take advantage of the additional benefits and discounts available by American Express®, especially frequent travelers who can take advantage of the rewards program with earned points that can be combined with various frequent flyer accounts, will benefit most from what the Blue from American Express® card has to offer.

BP Visa® Rewards Card:  The BP Visa® Rewards Card, issued by Chase, is designed for those who have very good credit and plan to take advantage of the gas reward program. Through the reward program, cardholders earn rebates that can be applied towards free gasoline at BP gas stations. Cardholders earn a 5% rebate on BP gas purchases; a 2% rebate on purchases at dining establishments, airlines, lodging facilities, and on car rentals; and a 1% rebate on all other purchases. Plus, during the first two billing cycles, all the rebates are doubled. Every time the cardholder earns $25 in rebates, they will have their choice of receiving a BP gift card, a cash back check, or of making a donation to The Conservation Fund. The card has no annual fee, it offers a 0% introductory rate on both purchases and balance transfers for the first six months, and the APR for purchases and balance transfers is reasonable after the introductory rate expires. It is important to note the card applies the "Two Cycles Average Daily Balance" method for carried balances, which ends up costing more to maintain an occasional balance as compared to the "Average Daily Balance" method used by many credit card issuers. Aside from the reward program, the card also offers common platinum benefits such as travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, and various travel and emergency assistance services. Therefore, those who can afford to pay in full each month (to avoid finance charges) and plan to use the credit card at BP gas stations (to earn the standard non-promotional 5% rebate) will benefit most from what the BP Visa® Rewards Card has to offer.

Citi® Platinum Select® Card for College Students:  The Citi® Platinum Select® Card for College Students, issued by Citibank, is designed for those students who have a somewhat established credit history as this is a platinum credit card. The interest rate for purchases and balance transfers is above average for a student credit card, but there is no annual fee. Cardholders will also be able to take advantage of a 0% introductory rate that applies to all transactions for the first six months of membership (a rare benefit for a student credit card). However, there is a minimum cap of 19.99% for cash advances; so no matter how low the Prime Rate falls (the APR is tied to the Prime Rate), the interest rate will not go below the minimum cap. As with many Citibank platinum credit cards, cardholders can expect access to a variety of benefits that include up to $1,000,000 in travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, fraud protection services, and various travel and emergency assistance services. In addition, the card offers students special discounts at select merchants and retailers. Therefore, students who can afford to pay in full each month after the introductory rate expires (to avoid finance charges) and plan to take advantage of the student-related discounts will benefit most from what the Citi® Platinum Select® Card for College Students has to offer.

US Airways® Visa® Credit Card:  The US Airways® Visa® Credit Card, issued by FIA Card Services, N.A., is designed for those who travel frequently via US Airways. Through the airline reward program, cardholders earn one mile for every dollar spent on the card, which can be redeemed towards free travel on US Airways. After the first purchase is made, an extra 5,000 bonus miles will be applied to the account. In addition, up to eleven miles per dollar spent can be earned at select restaurants in the United States. Cardholders can earn up to 50,000 miles per year. The interest rate for purchases and balance transfers is above average for a reward card and not ideal for those who plan to carry a balance. However, there is a 0% introductory rate that applies to purchases, balance transfers, and cash advance checks for the first six billing cycles, and the annual fee is about average for an airline reward card. In addition to the reward program, cardholders can expect common benefits such as auto rental insurance, purchase protection services, and various travel and emergency assistance services. Therefore, those who frequently fly with US Airways, plan to pay in full each month (to avoid finance charges), and will be able to redeem a free ticket within a two-year period (due to the annual fee of $50) will benefit most from what the US Airways® Visa® Credit Card has to offer.

Orchard Bank MasterCard® Secured:  The Orchard Bank MasterCard® Secured, issued by HSBC Bank Nevada, N.A., is designed for those with a limited or poor credit history. The major benefit of this card is the reasonable annual fee of $35. The APR for purchases is average for a secured card. Cardholders can In addition, cardholders can take advantage of a 0% introductory rate on purchases for six months. Unlike most secured credit cards, this card provides additional services and benefits including online account access, emergency card replacement, and various fraud protection services. As with most secured credit cards, there are no additional perks, benefits, or introductory rates provided to the cardholder, as the card is solely designed to help the cardholder establish credit. However, unlike most secured cards, cardholders will benefit from the fact that this card is that the deposit amount does earn interest annually. The card also reports to all three major credit bureaus. Therefore, those who may occasionally carry a balance and will take advantage of the various services will benefit most from what the Orchard Bank MasterCard® Secured has to offer.

Delta SkyMiles® Gold Credit Card:  The Delta SkyMiles® Gold Credit Card, issued by American Express®, is designed for those who frequently travel using Delta Airlines. Cardholders receive one mile for every dollar spent on general purchases and two miles for every dollar spent at participating retailers and merchants (including Delta Airlines related purchases). Additionally, 15,000 bonus miles are awarded to new applicants with their first purchase, and 2,500 bonus miles are awarded for an approved additional card submitted with this application. Miles do not have an expiration date (if travel is made through Delta Airlines at least once every three years); however, after the cardholder reaches $100,000 in annual spending, only one mile will be awarded per dollar spent. The annual fee will be waived for the first year. After that time the annual fee is $85; however, for those who already have an American Express® Charge Card the fee is reduced to $30. The standard APR for purchases is above average for an airline reward card and not ideal for those who plan to carry a revolving balance. There is an introductory rate of 9.99% offered for balances transferred during the time of application, which applies for the life of the loan. In addition to the reward program, the card offers many of the common benefits and services provided by American Express®, such as auto rental insurance, travel accident insurance, year-end financial statements, and various purchase protection related services. Those who can afford to pay in full each month (to avoid finance charges), will use the card at participating retailers and merchants (to earn additional miles), and will be able to accumulate enough miles to redeem a free ticket or other travel related services within a two-year period (especially if paying the $85 annual fee) will benefit most from what the Delta SkyMiles® Gold Credit Card has to offer. Those who are looking for additional frequent flyer benefits may want to consider the platinum card, which comes with a higher annual fee of $135 and has a higher credit qualification requirement.

Discover® More(SM) Card:  The Discover® Platinum Card, issued by Discover, is designed for those with very good credit who are looking for a cash reward credit card. Through the reward program, cardholders earn a 5% rebate for purchases made in popular categories that change four times a year like home, apparel, and more. Cardholders also earn up to 1% for general purchases and .25% for purchases made at select warehouse clubs and discount stores. Those who spend up to $1,500 on general purchases will receive a .25% rebate, between $1,500 and $3,000 will receive a .5% rebate, and over $3,000 will receive a 1% rebate.* As an added bonus, cardholders can earn up to a double Cashback Bonus® for redeeming their rebates for gift certificates from participating Discover Card Partners. There is no yearly limit on the amount of rebates that can be earned, and rebates do not expire as long as the account is active within a 36 month period. The card has no annual fee and an attractive 0% introductory rate on purchases and balance transfers for twelve months. The APR for this card is reasonably low for those who qualify. Finance charges applied use the "Two Cycles Average Daily Balance" method, which is a more costly method in applying finance charges for those who occasionally carry a balance as compared to the "Average Daily Balance" method used by most card issuers. Aside from the reward program, the card also provides several platinum benefits including up to $500,000 in travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, and various fraud and security protection services. Cardholders will also receive discounts on products and services at participating merchants and retailers. Therefore, those who plan to spend over $3,000 a year (to earn the 1% cash rebate), plan to use their Cashback Bonus® award at participating retailers (to earn double cash rebates), and plan to pay in full each month after the introductory rate expires (to avoid costly finance charges) will benefit most from what the Discover® Platinum Card has to offer. *It is important to note that like many cash reward cards, the highest rebate offered will not apply to all purchases made with the credit card. In this case, 1% will only be applied to those purchases made after the cardholder spends over $3,000 in one year, so the overall cash rebate earned will be less than 1%, depending on the amount spent. For instance, if the cardholder were to spend $4,000, only $1,000 of this amount would be applied towards the 1% rebate. However, this does not take into account any promotional offers or the full 5% Cashback Bonus® award. :  Blue Cash® from American Express®:  Blue Cash® from American Express® is designed for those with good or excellent credit who plan to take advantage of the cash back reward program offered by this card, which Kiplinger's Personal Finance* named as the "best cash-rebate card." Cardholders get unlimited cash back savings on eligible purchases with the card. Through the rebate program, cardholders earn a cash award that varies according to the amount spent per year. General purchases earn up to a 1.5% rebate. "Everyday Purchases" made at drugstores, gas stations, and supermarkets earn up to a 5% rebate. Aside from the cash rebates, this card provides common benefits and services commonly found with American Express® credit cards, such as the buyer's assurance plan, purchase protection plan, and up to $100,000 in travel accident insurance. This card has no annual fee and a reasonable interest rate for purchases and balance transfers (for those who qualify), which makes it ideal for those who plan to occasionally carry a balance. The card has a 0% introductory rate for the first six months of membership that can be applied toward purchases. A 4.99% introductory rate is available on balance transfers for the life of the loan. It is important to note that the balance transfer introductory rate only applies to those who initiate a transfer when applying for the card. Therefore, those who plan to take advantage of the cash back reward program for "Everyday Purchases" (to earn the highest rebate) and the various standard services provided will benefit most from what Blue Cash® from American Express® has to offer. *Notations to the Best Cash-Rebate Card appeared in the November 2006 edition of Kiplinger's Personal Finance. Points can be redeemed for various travel services, such as free hotel stays and airline travel. Cardholders also earn 10,000 bonus points after their first purchase, which is enough for up to three free nights and 15,000 Bonus Starpoints® after spending $15,000 In 6 months. Points do not expire as long as the account is active within a one-year period. In addition, when a cardholder transfers 20,000 Starpoints into miles, they are awarded 5,000 bonus miles. Aside from the reward program, the card does offer a variety of benefits such as travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, discounts via the Offer Zone, and various fraud protection services (see website for all benefits available). The interest rate for purchases is considered above average (for a reward card), and there is an annual fee of $30 that is waived the first year. There is also a low introductory rate for purchases and balance transfers for the first six months. Therefore, those who can afford to pay in full each month after the introductory rate expires (to avoid finance charges), frequently stay at Starwood hotels and resorts (to earn additional points), and can accumulate enough points for a free hotel stay or other travel-related service within a two-year period will benefit most from what the Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card from American Express® has to offer.

Hilton HHonors® Platinum Card from American Express®:  The Hilton HHonors® Platinum Card from American Express® is designed for those with very good credit who frequently stay at Hilton Hotels. Through the reward program, cardholders earn three points for every dollar spent on the card for general purchases (a rare benefit, as most reward programs only offer one point per dollar spent for general purchases) and five points for every dollar spent at Hilton Hotels, grocery stores, drugstores, gas stations, restaurants, the U.S Postal Service, and wireless phone bills. Earned points do not expire; however, points are limited to $100,000 in annual spending. Cardholders will be awarded two points for every dollar spent on eligible purchases exceeding $100,000. The reward program can be combined with the Hilton's HHonors® reward program that offers various benefits to cardholders including a chance to earn both points and frequent flyer miles for a qualifying hotel stay. Cardholders will also receive 10,000 bonus points after their first purchase, which must be made within one month of approval, 15,000 bonus points after spending $5,000 in 5 months, and up to 10,000 bonus points for their first four stays at any Hilton. There is no annual fee on the card, and a low introductory rate is available for purchases and balance transfers for the first six months (balance transfers must be submitted during the application process). The interest rate for purchases and balance transfers is above average for a reward credit card and is not ideal for those who plan to carry a balance after the low introductory rate expires. Overall, the Hilton HHonors® Platinum Card from American Express® is best for those who frequently stay at Hilton Hotels and will be able to take advantage of the reward program as well as the many cardholder benefits provided by American Express®.

This card offers a variety of benefits and services provided by Citibank, such as auto rental insurance, various security features, and up to $1,000,000 in travel accident insurance. Therefore, those who plan to take advantage of the 6% rebate for supermarket, gas station, and drugstore purchases during the first twelve months (3% thereafter) and plan on driving long distances (to earn additional Drive Rebates) will benefit most from what the Citi® Driver's Edge® Platinum Select® Card has to offer.

British Airways Visa® Signature Card:  The British Airways Visa® Signature Card, issued by Chase, is designed for those with excellent credit who travel regularly via British Airways. Through the reward program, cardholders earn one mile for every dollar spent on general purchases and two miles for every dollar spent through British Airways. In addition, cardholders will receive 15,000 bonus miles with their first purchase. There is no yearly limit to the number of miles that can be earned, and miles do not expire as long as the frequent flyer account is active during a three-year period. Earned miles can be used for travel with British Airways or any of its partner airlines along with other travel related services (visit www.britishairways.com for further details). Aside from the reward program, a variety of benefits are available including travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, and lost luggage insurance. The signature card provides a personal concierge service and no pre-set spending limit (purchases are authorized based on personal spending and payment history). A free British Airways companion ticket is also available with the purchase of a FIRST, Club World, or World Traveller Plus round-trip transatlantic ticket at the regular fare price. There is a low introductory offer that applies to purchases and balance transfers for the first five months. The interest rate for purchases and balance transfers is above average for a reward card (once the introductory rate expires), and it is not ideal for those who plan to carry a revolving balance due to the finance charges that may apply. Therefore, those who plan to travel with British Airways or any of their participating partner airlines, can pay in full each month (to avoid finance charges), and will be able to redeem an airline ticket or other travel related service within a two-year period (due to the $75 annual fee) will benefit most from what the British Airways Visa® Signature Card has to offer.

All-Access® Visa® Prepaid Card:  The All-Access® Visa® Prepaid Card, issued by MetaBank, is a stored value card designed for those who may have difficulty in obtaining an unsecured credit card. This card requires the cardholder to make payments in advance, which are then used to offset future purchases made with the card. Advance payments can be funded directly from the cardholder's paycheck and automatically loaded to the card every pay period. The card can also be loaded by account-to-account transfers via the Internet, the toll free number, or a live agent. Cardholders can also load the card through in person retail transfers. Cardholders will have the option of choosing between the pay per transaction plan and the FeeAdvantage™ plan. The pay per transaction plan has no monthly fee, but there is a fee charged every time the cardholder makes a purchase. On the other hand, the FeeAdvantage™ plan allows cardholders to make unlimited signature and PIN purchases for a monthly fee. Depending on whether the cardholder makes signature or PIN purchases more, the FeeAdvantage™ plan may be a better option for those who plan to make more than five to ten purchases per month. However, this card has no account opening fee. This card offers additional services and benefits including free wireless alerts for account information, no liability for unauthorized transactions, overdraft protection, and integrated bill payment. Cardholders will also be able to participate in the referral program that rewards them with $5 for each activated card that they refer. Therefore, those who are looking for a card where they can pay in advance for purchases, would like a card with limited fees, and plan to take advantage of the various benefits and services may find the All-Access® Visa® Prepaid Card to be a beneficial option.

Discover® Student Card:  The Discover® Student Card, issued by Discover, is designed for those with very good credit who are looking for a cash reward credit card. Through the reward program, cardholders earn a 5% rebate for purchases made in popular categories that change four times a year like home, apparel, and more. Plus, cardholders earn up to 1% for general purchases. Those who spend up to $1,500 on general purchases will receive a .25% rebate, between $1,500 and $3,000 will receive a .5% rebate, and over $3,000 will receive a 1% rebate.* Cardholders also earn a 0.25% rebate at select warehouse clubs and discount stores, and they can earn a double Cashback Bonus® for redeeming their rebates for gift certificates from participating Discover Card Partners. There is no yearly limit on the amount of rebates that can be earned, and rebates do not expire as long as the account is active within a 36 month period. Aside from the reward program, the card also provides platinum benefits including online account management, no liability for unauthorized transactions, and discounts on products and services at participating merchants and retailers. The APR for this card is above average, but there is no annual fee and 0% interest that applies to purchases for six months. Finance charges applied use the "Two Cycles Average Daily Balance" method, which is a more costly method in applying finance charges to those who may occasionally carry a balance as compared to the "Average Daily Balance" method used by most card issuers. Therefore, those who plan to spend over $3,000 a year (to earn the 1% cash rebate), plan to use their Cashback Bonus® award at participating retailers (to earn a full 5% rebate and double cash rebates), and plan to pay in full each month (to avoid costly finance charges) will benefit most from what the Discover® Student Card has to offer. Students who plan to carry a large balance should consider a lower interest rate card (one that applies the "Average Daily Balance" method), as any finance charges saved will be more than any cash rebates earned.

CitiBusiness® Card:  The CitiBusiness® Card, issued by Citibank, is designed for those with very good credit who are looking to maintain and manage all business-related expenses with one credit card. The card offers many cardholder benefits such as up to $1,000,000 in travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, and fraud protection. In addition, cardholders can take advantage of the various discounts offered at participating merchants and retailers (visit the Citibank website for full details). This card has no annual fee, and it offers a reasonably low interest rate for purchases and balance transfers as compared to other business credit cards. There is also a very attractive 0% introductory rate available on purchases and balance transfers for twelve months. Therefore, those who are looking for a business card with a reasonably low interest rate and plan to take advantage of the additional services and discounts will benefit most from what the CitiBusiness® Card has to offer.

Citi® Dividend Platinum Select® Card for College Students:  The Citi® Dividend Platinum Select® Card for College Students, issued by Citibank, is a cash back credit card designed specifically for students. Through the reward program, cardholders earn a 5% cash back rebate on purchases made at supermarkets, gas stations, drugstores, convenience stores, and utilities including cable for six months and 2% thereafter, and they earn a 1% cash back rebate on all other purchases as well as on cash advances and convenience check transactions taken at the standard cash advance rate. Cardholders will receive $5 Dividend Dollars for each balance transfer transaction of $1,500 or more. Cardholders can also earn an average of 5% cash back on purchases made through the Citi Dividend Merchant Network. The rebates earned on purchases through the Citi Dividend Merchant Network are unlimited, but the rebates earned on all other purchases are subject to a $300 maximum per year. A $50 check will be issued upon request once $50 Dividend Dollars have been earned. This card has no annual fee, but it does have an above average interest rate for purchases (for a student card). However, there is a 0% introductory rate that applies to all transactions for the first six months (a rare benefit for a student card). It is important to understand that there is a minimum cap of 19.99% for cash advances; so no matter how low the Prime Rate falls (the APR is tied to the Prime Rate), the interest rate will not go below the minimum cap. The card also offers several platinum benefits and services such as up to $1,000,000 in travel accident insurance, lost and stolen card reporting, and identity theft solutions. However, it is the reward program that proves to be the best benefit available to cardholders. Therefore, students who can afford to pay in full each month after the introductory rate expires (to avoid finance charges) and plan to spend enough to take advantage of the rebate program will benefit most from what the Citi® Dividend Platinum Select® Card for College Students has to offer. Those who plan to spend less on the credit card or plan to carry a revolving balance may want to consider a credit card with a lower interest rate.

Citi® Driver's Edge® Card for College Students:  The Citi® Driver's Edge® Card for College Students, issued by Citibank, is designed for students who are planning on purchasing a new or used car (foreign or domestic) within a five-year period. Through the reward program, cardholders earn a rebate of 3% for purchases made at supermarkets, drugstores, and gas stations. All other purchases earn a 1% rebate. Cardholders can also earn Drive Rebates at a rate of $0.01 per mile driven. Up to $1,000 in rebates can be earned toward a vehicle during any twelve consecutive months, and any unused rebates expire in five years. The maximum amount of rebates that can be redeemed is $5,000 per vehicle. Rebates can also be used for the payment of maintenance, service, or repair performed on a vehicle. Rebates can also be converted into ThankYou(SM) Points and redeemed through the ThankYou(SM) Network. This card has no annual fee and a 0% introductory rate that applies to all transactions for the first six months (which is a rare benefit for a student card). However, this card does have an above average interest rate for purchases and balance transfers. There is also a minimum cap of 19.99% for cash advances. Therefore, no matter how low the Prime Rate falls (the APR is tied to the Prime Rate), the interest rate will not go below the minimum cap. This card offers students a variety of benefits and services provided by Citibank, such as auto rental insurance, various security features, and up to $1,000,000 in travel accident insurance. Therefore, those students who plan to take advantage of the rebate program, plan on driving long distances (to earn additional Drive Rebates), and can afford to pay in full each month once the introductory rate expires (to avoid finance charges) will benefit most from what the Citi® Driver's Edge® Card for College Students has to offer.

AT&T Universal Platinum Card:  The AT&T Universal Platinum Card, issued by Citibank, is designed for those with good credit who desire a credit card with platinum cardholder benefits. This card acts both as a credit card and a calling card, but those who choose to use the card for calls may find the rates high compared to other calling card services. However, the card does provide two free directory assistance inquiries per month, up to 30 free phone minutes per month, and wireless phone loss and theft insurance. The card has no annual fee, and the APR for purchases and balance transfers is reasonable for those who plan to carry a revolving balance. There is also a 0% introductory rate on balance transfers for twelve months. However, there is a minimum cap of 19.99% for cash advances, which means that no matter how low the LIBOR Rate falls (the APR is tied to the LIBOR Rate), the interest rate will not go below the minimum cap. In addition to the calling card benefits, the card offers a variety of platinum cardholder services that include up to $1,000,000 in travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, lost and stolen card reporting, and fraud protection services. Therefore, those who plan to take advantage of the calling card feature, the introductory rate on balance transfers, and the additional platinum services will benefit most from what the AT&T Universal Platinum Card has to offer.

Citi® Platinum Select®/AAdvantage® World MasterCard®:  The Citi® Platinum Select®/AAdvantage® World MasterCard®, one of several Citi® AAdvantage® credit cards offered by Citibank, is designed for those with very good credit who travel regularly on American Airlines. Through the reward program, cardholders earn one mile for every dollar spent on the card. Miles can be redeemed for hotel stays, car rentals, and free travel via American Airlines and participating partners. The card has a maximum of 100,000 miles that can be accumulated each year; however, Advantage Executive Platinum®, AAdvantage Platinum®, and AAdvantage Gold® members are excluded from this limit. Miles have no expiration as long as there is account activity at least once every three years. At first glance, it may be difficult to distinguish between all of the Citi® AAdvantage® credit cards due to their close similarities. This platinum card has minor differences such as it offers 15,000 bonus miles for the first purchase and it has no 'pre-set spending limit', which simply means that cardholders can occasionally exceed their credit limit based on their payment history and credit. The APR for purchases is above average for a reward card. The annual fee of $85 is slightly high, but it is waived for the first year. In addition, there is a minimum cap of 19.99% for cash advances, so no matter how low the Prime Rate falls (the APR is tied to the Prime Rate), the interest rate will not go below the minimum cap. However, cardholders can expect several platinum benefits such as up to $1,000,000 in travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, and lost and stolen card reporting. This card also offers cardholders travel to select destinations for reduced miles. Therefore, those who can afford to pay in full each month (to avoid finance charges), do not plan to spend more than $100,000 on the card a year (due to the yearly limit on miles), and will be able to earn a free ticket within a one-year period (due to the high annual fee after the initial free year) will benefit most from what the Citi® Platinum Select®/AAdvantage® World MasterCard® has to offer.

Citi® Gold/AAdvantage® World MasterCard®:  The Citi® Gold/AAdvantage® World MasterCard®, one of several Citi® AAdvantage® credit cards offered by Citibank, is designed for those with good credit who travel with American Airlines. Through the reward program, cardholders earn one mile for every dollar spent on the card. Miles can be redeemed for hotel stays, car rentals, and free flights via American Airlines and its participating partners. There is a maximum of 60,000 miles that can be accumulated each year, and miles have no expiration as long as there is account activity at least once every three years. At first glance, it may be difficult to distinguish between all of the Citi® AAdvantage® credit cards due to their close similarities. The gold card differs, because it offers 12,500 bonus miles for the first purchase and has a no 'pre-set spending limit' policy, which simply means that cardholders can occasionally exceed their credit limit based on their credit and payment history. The fact that the annual fee for the gold card is waived for the first year and is $50 thereafter, which is lower than that of the platinum card, may prove to be a better option for those who do not plan on spending more than $60,000 per year on the card. The APR for purchases is above average for a reward card. There is also a minimum cap of 19.99% for cash advances, so no matter how low the Prime Rate falls (the APR is tied to the Prime Rate), the interest rate will not go below the minimum cap. However, cardholders can expect common gold benefits that include up to $1,000,000 in travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, and a year-end financial statement. Therefore, those who can afford to pay in full each month (to avoid finance charges), do not plan to spend more than $60,000 on the card a year (due to the yearly limit on miles), and will be able to earn a free ticket within a three-year period (due to the annual fee) will benefit most from what the Citi® Gold/AAdvantage® World MasterCard® has to offer.

Citi® Diamond Preferred® Rewards Card:  The Citi® Diamond Preferred® Rewards Card, issued by Citibank, is designed for those with good credit who plan to take advantage of the reward program offered. Through the reward program, cardholders earn five points for every dollar spent on purchases made at supermarkets, drugstores, and gas stations for the first twelve months of cardmembership, one point thereafter, and one point for every dollar spent on all other purchases. Cardholders receive 6,000 bonus points after their first purchase, which can be redeemed for a $50 gift card. These points can also be redeemed for various items or services, and cardholders are given the option to reduce the card's APR for purchases and cash advances for varying amounts of time (which is a rare benefit). There is a 75,000 yearly limit to the number of points that can be earned, and points will expire in five years. This card has no annual fee, and it has a reasonably low interest rate for purchases and balance transfers in comparison to other reward cards. In addition, the card has a 0% introductory rate that can be applied toward balance transfers for twelve months. Nevertheless, it is important to note that there is a minimum cap of 19.99% for cash advances; so no matter how low the Prime Rate falls (the APR is tied to the Prime Rate), the interest rate will not go below the minimum cap. The card does provide platinum cardholder benefits that include up to $1,000,000 in travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, car rental discounts, and various travel and emergency assistance services. Therefore, those who plan to take advantage of the 0% introductory rate for balance transfers and are interested in participating in the reward program will benefit most from what the Citi® Diamond Preferred® Rewards Card has to offer.

Subaru® Platinum MasterCard® from Chase:  The Subaru® Platinum MasterCard® from Chase is designed for those with very good credit who plan to purchase or lease a Subaru® vehicle within a four-year period. Through the reward program, a 3% rebate is earned on all general purchases made with the card. Earned rebates can be redeemed toward the purchase or lease of a new Subaru® vehicle, Subaru® accessories, or regular servicing (such as oil changes) at an authorized Subaru® dealership. A $100 coupon is issued for every $3,333 spent on the card, with a maximum of $500 that can be earned per year, and coupons expire within four years. Although there is a maximum of $2,000 that can be earned in total rebates within the four-year period, the 3% rebate is a very reasonable amount for a reward card, as many reward cards usually offer a 1% - 2% rebate for general purchases. Aside from the reward program, the platinum card offers a variety of benefits that include travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, and various travel and emergency services. The card provides a reasonable interest rate for purchases and balance transfers for those who qualify and it has no annual fee. This card also offers a 0% introductory rate on purchases and balance transfers for six months. It is important to note that there is a minimum cap for cash advances; so no matter how low the Prime Rate falls (the APR is tied to the Prime Rate), the interest rate will not go below the minimum cap. Therefore, those who qualify for the lowest rate offered and either plan to purchase or already own a Subaru® vehicle (to take advantage of the reward program) will benefit most from what the Subaru® Platinum MasterCard® from Chase has to offer. Those who are not certain whether or not they plan to purchase a Subaru vehicle in the near future may want to think twice about using the card, as the $100 in coupons cannot be redeemed for any cash value.

Borders 3.2.1(SM) Visa®:  The Borders 3.2.1(SM) Visa®, issued by Chase, is designed for those with very good credit who shop at Borders® and Waldenbooks®. The reward program is by far the best benefit offered. Cardholders earn three points per $1 spent at Borders®, Borders Express, Waldenbooks®, Borders.com, and Waldenbooks.com; they earn two points per $1 spent on eligible gas, dining, and grocery purchases; and they earn one point per $1 spent on all other purchases. Cardholders earn an additional 1,000 bonus points after their first purchase. For every 2,500 points earned, the cardholder may choose to receive a $25 Borders Gift Card. Points are also redeemable for cash, travel rewards, gas and restaurant gift cards, and more. There is no limit to the amount of points that can be earned. In addition to the reward program, the card also offers platinum cardholder benefits provided by Chase that include travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, and various travel and emergency assistance services. Cardholders will also be enrolled in the Borders Rewards program, which offers discounts and other exclusive benefits, and the cardholder's membership number will be printed directly on the card. Aside from the benefits, the card has a reasonable interest rate for purchases and balance transfers (for those who qualify), no annual fee, and a 0% introductory rate on purchases and balance transfers for the first twelve billing cycles. Therefore, those who qualify for the lowest rate offered, frequently shop at Borders® and Waldenbooks®, and can pay in full each month after the introductory rate expires (to avoid finance charges) will benefit most from what the Borders 3.2.1(SM) Visa® has to offer.

Advanta Platinum BusinessCard with Rewards:  The Advanta Platinum BusinessCard with Rewards, issued by Advanta, is designed for business owners who are looking to consolidate business expenses onto one credit card account and would like to earn rewards or rebates for business purchases. Through the rebate program, cardholders will receive a 5% rebate on qualifying net purchases of gasoline and diesel fuel; computers, computer supplies, electronics, and office supplies; utilities and telecommunications; and online advertising services. A 1% rebate will be received for all other net purchases. Cardholders will receive a $50 check following any billing cycle in which their unpaid earned rewards reach $50. However, there is a yearly limit of $300 in rebates, and only $25 in rebates can be earned each month. Cardholders may also choose the reward program, which allows them to earn one point for every dollar spent on all purchases made with the card. These points can be redeemed for various travel rewards or pre-paid bonus cards. There is no yearly limit to the number of points that can be earned; however, points do expire in three years. Both programs are free. Many common platinum business features can be found with this card, such as auto rental insurance, extended warranty coverage, itemized expense reports, and online account access. Cardholders are also offered discounts on various products and services from participating retailers and merchants. The card has no annual fee and an attractive long term 0% introductory rate on balance transfers. This card also has a very low interest rate that applies as long as payments are up to date; applicants should review the terms and conditions provided by the card issuer.  Citi® Hilton HHonors® Visa® Signature Card:  The Citi® Hilton HHonors® Visa® Signature Card, issued by Citibank, offers cardholders the opportunity to take advantage of the Hilton HHonors® reward program as well as many signature benefits. The reward program is by far the most attractive benefit of the card, and it is ideal for those who frequently stay at Hilton HHonors® hotels. The card rewards cardholders with two points for each dollar spent on general purchases and three points for each dollar spent at Hilton HHonors® hotels (see website for participating hotel chains). There is no yearly limit to the number of points that can be earned, and points do not expire provided that a transaction is made with the card within a year or at least one stay in a Hilton Hotel is made within a year. New applicants receive 15,000 bonus points with the first purchase made with the card as long as their first purchase is made within 60 days from the date that the account was opened. Earned points can be applied to free hotel stays and various travel rewards. Cardholders also receive Hilton HHonors® Silver VIP status for the first year of membership with no additional charge. Since there are a variety of benefits offered with this card, we suggest visiting their website at www.hiltonhhonors.com. The card has no pre-set spending limit, no annual fee, and a low introductory rate for purchases and balance transfers. The interest rate for purchases and balance transfers after the introductory rate expires is above average for a reward card, and it is not ideal for those who plan to carry a balance. There is also a minimum cap of 19.99% for cash advances; so no matter how low the Prime Rate falls (the APR is tied to the Prime Rate), the interest rate will not go below the minimum cap. The card does provide many signature benefits provided by Citibank that include up to $1,000,000 in travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, and various travel and emergency assistance services. Therefore, those who frequently stay at Hilton HHonors® hotels, plan to pay in full each month (to avoid finance charges), and will take advantage of the many signature benefits will find the Citi® Hilton HHonors® Visa® Signature Card to be very beneficial.

Pulaski Bank Visa®/MasterCard®:  The Pulaski Bank Visa®/MasterCard®, issued by Pulaski Bank, is designed for those with an average credit history who are looking for a very low cost credit card. The best feature of this credit card is the very low fixed interest rate of 7.99% (for purchases and cash advances); it provides a very low cost option to those who plan to carry a revolving balance. There is also a very attractive introductory rate for six months on balance transfers. In addition, the annual fee of $35 is very reasonable for such a low interest rate credit card. However, aside from the very low interest rate for all transactions, cardholders should not expect any extraordinary benefits or services offered by the card. Those who plan to carry a balance (due to the low interest rate offered), do not mind paying an annual fee of $35, and do not care for any extraordinary benefits or services will benefit most from what the Pulaski Bank Visa®/MasterCard® has to offer.

Pulaski Bank Gold Visa® Card:  The Pulaski Bank Gold Visa® Card, issued by Pulaski Bank, is designed for those with good credit who are looking for a very low cost credit card. The best feature of this credit card is the reasonably low fixed interest rate offered at 9.5% for all transactions; it offers a very low cost option to those who plan to carry a revolving balance. It is important to note that the rate for purchases and cash advances is the same, which is a rare benefit, considering that the APR for cash advances is usually significantly higher. There is also a very attractive 0% introductory rate for six months on balance transfers submitted within the first three months. In addition, there is no annual fee for the card. Aside from the reasonably low interest rate, cardholders can expect common gold benefits such as travel and emergency assistance services, as well as various purchase and protection services. However, members should not expect any extraordinary benefits or services offered by the card. Those who plan to carry a balance (due to the low interest rate offered) and do not want to pay an annual fee will benefit most from what the Pulaski Bank Gold Visa® Card has to offer.

The card has an average interest rate for purchases, and it does offer an attractive twelve-month introductory rate that can be applied towards balance transfers with no annual fee. However, there is a minimum cap of 19.99% for cash advances; so no matter how low the Prime Rate falls (the APR is tied to the Prime Rate), the interest rate will not go below the minimum cap. The card also provides platinum cardholder benefits that include up to $1,000,000 in travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, car rental discounts, and various travel and emergency assistance services. Therefore, those who plan to take advantage of the cash back reward program and the introductory rate on balance transfers will benefit most from what the Citi® Dividend Platinum Select® Card has to offer.

The miles do not expire (a rare feature for a frequent flyer card), and there is no limit to the amount of miles that can be earned. Miles can be combined with Continental's frequent flyer program, and they can also be redeemed through SkyTeam™ alliance partners. The card has an above average interest rate (for a reward card), an annual fee of $85, and a low introductory rate for both purchases and balance transfers for the first six months of membership. Cardholders can also expect access to a variety of benefits that include travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, and purchase protection. However, what sets this card apart from the platinum card is that it has no pre-set spending limit and a personal concierge service. Therefore, those who can afford to pay in full each month after the introductory rate expires (to avoid finance charges), frequently fly with Continental Airlines (as miles can be combined with Continental Airlines frequent flyer program), and will be able to redeem a free ticket or other travel related services within a two-year period (due to the annual fee) will benefit most from what the Continental Airlines World MasterCard® from Chase has to offer.

Earned miles do not expire as long as the cardmember earns or redeems miles at least once every three years. The card has a slightly high annual fee of $75 for the primary cardholder and $25 for each additional cardholder. It also has a high interest rate for purchases and balance transfers for a business card (although the rate is just above average for a reward card). A variety of platinum business cardholder features can be found with this card, such as auto rental insurance, travel accident insurance, and up to $3,000 in lost luggage insurance. Therefore, those who plan to pay in full each month (to avoid costly finance charges), frequently fly with United to take advantage of the reward program, and would like the additional travel services and discount certificates will benefit most from what the United Mileage Plus® Platinum Business Card has to offer.

CitiBusiness®/AAdvantage® MasterCard®:  The CitiBusiness®/AAdvantage® MasterCard®, one of several Citi® AAdvantage® credit cards offered by Citibank, is designed for those with very good credit who travel regularly on American Airlines and would like to earn free travel for business-related expenses. Earned miles can be applied toward free travel via American Airlines and its participating airline partners. Miles are also compatible with the American Airlines frequent flyer program. In addition, miles will be earned when employees make purchase with their CitiBusiness®/ AAdvantage® MasterCard®. There is a maximum of 150,000 miles that can be accumulated per year, and miles do not expire as long as the account is active within a three-year period. The $75 annual fee for the card is waived for the first year, and there is no fee for additional cardholders. The APR for purchases and balance transfers is high for a business card and above average for a reward card. The card also has a high interest rate for cash advances. Overall, this is not an ideal credit card for those who plan to carry a revolving balance. This card does provide many cardholder benefits that include up to $1,000,000 in travel accident insurance, lost and stolen card reporting, and auto rental insurance. It also offers discounts on products and services at participating merchants and retailers. Therefore, those who plan to pay in full each month (to avoid finance charges), do not mind paying an annual fee of $75 after the first year, and plan to take advantage of the airline reward program will benefit most from what the CitiBusiness®/AAdvantage® MasterCard® has to offer.

United Mileage Plus Signature Visa® Card:  The United Mileage Plus Signature Visa® Card, issued by Chase, is designed for those who travel frequently with United Airlines and have an excellent credit history. Through the reward program, cardholders earn one mile for every dollar spent on the card. Miles can be used for travel on United Airlines and can be combined with the United Airlines frequent flyer program. New cardholders receive 20,000 bonus miles after their first purchase and have the opportunity to earn additional miles at participating restaurants. Cardholders also receive a $25 United discount travel certificate and a free one-way, 1,000 mile, one-class upgrade certificate after their first purchase. There is a yearly limit of 60,000 miles that can be earned. However, for Mileage Plus Premier®, Premier Executive®, or Premier Executive® 1K® members, there is no limit to the amount of miles that can be earned. Miles do not expire as long as the cardmember earns or redeems miles within a three-year period. In addition to the reward program, the card offers a variety of additional cardholder benefits that include travel accident insurance, lost luggage insurance, a personal concierge service, and various travel and emergency assistance services. This card has an annual fee of $60 and an above average APR for purchases when compared to other airline reward cards. There is also no introductory rate available. The card uses the “Average Daily Balance” method in determining finance charges, which is less costly when carrying occasional balances, as compared to the "Two Cycles Average Daily Balance" method that is frequently used by Chase. Therefore, those who can afford to pay in full each month (to avoid finance charges), currently fly with United Airlines (to combine earned miles with the frequent flyer program), and would like the additional travel services and discount certificates will benefit most from what the United Mileage Plus Signature Visa® Card has to offer.

WorldPerks® Visa® Signature Card:  The WorldPerks® Visa® Signature Card, issued by U.S. Bank, is ideal for those with excellent credit who travel regularly with Northwest Airlines® or any of their airline partners. Through the reward program, cardholders earn two miles for each dollar spent through Northwest Airlines® and one mile for each dollar spent on all other purchases. Cardholders receive 90 miles each year when they pay the annual fee, and up to five miles per dollar can also be earned at participating restaurants. Upon approval, up to 10,000 bonus miles are applied to the account. Earned miles can be redeemed for free travel with Northwest Airlines® or any of their partners. Although miles do not expire, there are some mileage restrictions. For instance, those who spend more than $80,000 in any calendar year or over $10,000 per billing cycle will be limited to one mile for every two dollars spent over that amount. However, those who select to have their credit card bill automatically paid in full each month (or are members of Northwest® WorldPerks® Platinum Elite, Gold Elite, or Silver Elite) will be exempt from all reward limitations. Although the $90 annual fee is slightly high and the interest rate for purchases is above average for a reward card, the signature card has no pre-set spending limit. It is important to understand that the APRs for all transactions are tied to the highest Prime Rate during a three-month period. Due to this policy, the APRs may never reach the lowest possible interest rates. Cardholders should also be aware that the signature version of this card does not allow balance transfers. In addition to the reward program, cardholders can expect common signature card benefits offered by U.S. Bank, such as a personal concierge service, travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, purchase protection services, and online account access. Nevertheless, this card has fewer benefits compared to other signature cards. Therefore, those who can afford to pay in full each month (to avoid finance charges), plan to sign up for the auto-payment option (to avoid reward limitations), and will be able to earn a free ticket or other travel-related service within a two-year period (due to the high annual fee) will benefit most from what the WorldPerks® Visa® Signature Card has to offer.

In addition to the donation program, the card also provides platinum cardholder benefits, offered by FIA Card Services, N.A., including a personal concierge service, auto rental insurance, and various travel and emergency assistance services.  Asiana Visa® Platinum Plus® Card:  The Asiana Visa® Platinum Plus® Card, issued by FIA Card Services, N.A., is designed for those with very good credit who travel frequently via Asiana Airlines. Through the airline reward program, one mile is earned for every dollar spent on the card, and double miles are earned for Asiana Airlines purchases. Cardholders receive 5,000 bonus miles with their first purchase. In addition, 2,000 bonus miles are applied to the account each year upon payment of the annual fee. There is a limit of 100,000 miles that can be earned per year. Each year, cardholders receive a 90% discount on a full-fare business-class or first-class companion fare, a $500 discount on a full-fare business-class ticket with a free first-class upgrade, and two free Asiana Club lounge passes. The interest rate for purchases and balance transfers is reasonable for a reward card (for those who qualify), though not ideal for those who plan to carry a balance. Although there is a low introductory rate that applies to purchases, balance transfers, and cash advance checks for the first six billing cycles, the annual fee is high for an airline reward card. Aside from the reward program, cardholders can expect common benefits including online banking services, auto rental insurance, and purchase protection services. Therefore, those who qualify for the lowest rate offered, plan to pay in full each month (to avoid finance charges), and will take advantage of the annual ticket discounts will benefit most from what the Asiana Visa® Platinum Plus® Card has to offer.

Money Return® Visa® Platinum Plus®:  The Money Return® Visa® Platinum Plus®, issued by FIA Card Services, N.A., is designed for those who are looking for a platinum credit card with a unique cash back reward program. Cardholders will earn a 10% rebate on any finance charges that are applied to the account. Rebates of $2 or more are mailed via check. Rebates of less than $2 are credited to the account. Refunds are dispersed in January for the preceding year. Accounts must be in good standing to receive the refund. Of course, the major drawback of the program is that cardholders have to carry a monthly balance in order to receive any rebates, which can prove costly to those approved for the highest rate. This card offers a 0% introductory rate that can be applied to purchases, balances transfers, and cash advance checks for the first six billing cycles, and it provides a reasonable APR for purchases and balance transfers once the introductory rate expires. There is also no annual fee. In addition to the rebate, cardholders can expect platinum benefits including auto rental insurance, various travel and emergency assistance services, and purchase replacement. Therefore, those who would like a rebate based on incurred finance charges and qualify for the lowest rate offered will find the Money Return® Visa® Platinum Plus® to be a beneficial option.

Asiana Visa® Preferred Card:  The Asiana Visa® Preferred Card, issued by FIA Card Services, N.A., is designed for those with an average credit history who travel frequently via Asiana Airlines. Through the airline reward program, one mile is earned for every dollar spent on the card, which can be redeemed towards free travel on Asiana Airlines. Cardholders also receive 3,000 bonus miles with their first purchase. There is a limit of 50,000 miles that can be earned per year. Unfortunately, the card does not offer additional miles for select purchases or services, which may be a slight disappointment. The interest rate for purchases and balance transfers is reasonable for a reward card (for those who qualify), though not ideal for those who plan to carry a balance. There is a low introductory rate that applies to purchases, balance transfers, and cash advance checks for the first six billing cycles, and the annual fee is about average for an airline reward card. Aside from the reward program, cardholders can expect common benefits including auto rental insurance, various travel and emergency assistance services, and security protection. This card also provides an annual discount of $50 for the first Asiana Airlines ticket purchase each year. Therefore, those who qualify for the lowest rate offered, plan to pay in full each month (to avoid finance charges), and will take advantage of the reward program as well as the annual ticket discount will benefit most from what the Asiana Visa® Preferred Card has to offer.

Amazon.com Platinum Visa® Card:  The Amazon.com Platinum Visa® Card, issued by Chase, is designed for those with very good credit who plan to take advantage of the reward program. Through the reward program, one point is earned for every dollar spent on general purchases (equivalent to a 1% rebate) and three points are earned for every dollar spent on Amazon.com purchases (equivalent to a 3% rebate). Once the cardholder earns 2,500 points, a certificate valued at $25 will be automatically issued, which can be redeemed for purchases at Amazon.com. Cardholders will also receive 1,500 bonus points after their first purchase. This card has no annual fee. There is a 0% introductory rate on purchases and balance transfers for the first six months, but the interest rate is above average after the introductory rate expires. In addition to the reward program, the card also offers common platinum benefits provided by Chase that include travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, and various travel and emergency assistance services. Therefore, those who can afford to pay in full each month after the introductory rate expires (to avoid finance charges) and plan to frequently shop at Amazon.com (to earn the additional points) will benefit most from what the Amazon.com Platinum Visa® Card has to offer.

There is no limit to the amount of points that can be earned, and points never expire. This card does provide many additional services and benefits including up to $100,000 in travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, purchase protection services, various merchant discounts, and more. Cardholders will also have access to the Global Assist® Plus Hotline, which provides them with various services when they are traveling more than 100 miles away from where they live. This card does provide many additional services and benefits including travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, purchase protection services, various merchant discounts, and more.  BuyRIGHT Pre-Paid MasterCard®:  The BuyRIGHT Pre-Paid MasterCard®, issued by MetaBank, is a stored value card designed for those who would like to take advantage of the reward program and the shopping membership that this card has to offer. This stored value card does require payment of an initial load of $20. Funds may be loaded onto the card in numerous ways and although fees do apply to most funding methods, there is no charge to fund the card via direct deposit. Funds loaded to the account are available for future purchases made with the card. The card has a $29.95 account set-up fee, and cardholders have the option of choosing between paying a monthly fee of $4.95 or paying no monthly fee with a per transaction fee of $1. If the cardholder plans to make at least five card transactions per month, it would be beneficial to pay the monthly fee, since any more than five transactions would result in fees that would exceed the set monthly fee. Cardholders will have the option to sign up for the Credit Building Program. The program allows customers to make purchases online at SmartCreditShopping.com through a pre-approved $7,500 line of credit. The $7,500 credit line available for this membership is separate from that of the BuyRIGHT Pre-Paid MasterCard® Card. It is important to note that at least a 20% deposit is required for merchandise purchases. The cardholder's new account as well as their monthly payment history will then be reported to at least one major credit bureau. Through the BuyRIGHT Rewards Program, cardholders earn one point per dollar spent on general purchases. No yearly limit or expiration applies to these points. Cardholders can redeem points for ring tones, music downloads, prepaid wireless airtime, and long-distance calling cards. Cardholders will also have access to the BuyRIGHT Cash Back referral program, which will reward them with $5 if they sign up for direct deposit within 30 days and $25 for every cardholder that they refer. Therefore, those who are looking for a low cost option to build credit and would like to take advantage of the various programs may find the BuyRIGHT Pre-Paid MasterCard® to be more than adequate.

Union Plus MasterCard®:  The Union Plus MasterCard®, issued by HSBC Bank Nevada, N.A., is designed for those with an average or limited credit history who are members of one of the AFL-CIO Unions (non-members are not eligible to apply for the card). The card, as the name suggests, is designed for members of an AFL-CIO Union. The benefits offered to union members are "Strike Payment Protection" (allows members to skip payments for up to three consecutive months while the union is on a union-sanctioned strike or lockout for 30 days or more) and "Member Advocacy Program" (designed to help members resolve disputes and handle concerns regarding any of the Union Privilege programs). The interest rate for purchases and balance transfers is reasonable for those who qualify, and there is no annual fee. There is a low introductory rate on purchases for the first six months, and a reasonable introductory rate is available for balance transfers, which is valid until the balance is paid in full (although lower introductory rates can be found with other standard credit cards). It is important to note that there is a minimum cap in effect on the interest rate for purchases and balance transfers. Therefore, no matter how low the Prime Rate falls, the APR will not go below the minimum cap. This rate varies between 9.99% and 18.99% and is based on the applicant's credit history. In addition to the unique member benefits, this card also provides additional cardholder benefits such as no liability for unauthorized transactions, fraud and security protection services, and up to $100,000 in travel accident insurance. Therefore, members of one of the AFL-CIO Unions (required to apply) who qualify for the lowest rate offered and plan to pay in full each month (to avoid finance charges) will benefit most from what the Union Plus MasterCard® has to offer.

Discover® More(SM) Card - Wildlife Collection:  The Discover® More(SM) Card - Wildlife Collection, issued by Discover, is designed for those with very good credit who are looking for a Cashback Bonus® reward credit card. The APR on purchases after the introductory rate expires is reasonably low for those who qualify. Finance charges applied use the "Two Cycles Average Daily Balance" method, which is a more costly method in applying finance charges for those who occasionally carry a balance as compared to the "Average Daily Balance" method used by most card issuers. Aside from the reward program, the card also provides several platinum benefits including travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, and various fraud and security protection services. Cardholders will also have access to discounts on products and services at participating merchants and retailers. Therefore, those who plan to spend at least $3,000 a year (to earn the 1% cash rebate), plan to use their Cashback Bonus® award at participating retailers (to earn double cash rebates), and plan to pay in full each month after the introductory rate expires (to avoid costly finance charges) will benefit most from what the Discover® More(SM) Card - Wildlife Collection has to offer.

Discover® More(SM) Card - Clear:  The Discover® More(SM) Card - Clear, issued by Discover, is designed for those with very good credit who are looking for a cash reward credit card. There is no yearly limit on the amount of rebates that can be earned, and rebates do not expire as long as the account is active within a 36 month period. The card has no annual fee and an attractive 0% introductory rate on purchases and balance transfers for twelve months. The APR on purchases for this card is reasonably low after the introductory offer expires for those who qualify. Finance charges applied use the "Two Cycles Average Daily Balance" method, which is a more costly method in applying finance charges for those who occasionally carry a balance as compared to the "Average Daily Balance" method used by most card issuers. The card provides several platinum benefits including travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, and various fraud and security protection services. Cardholders will also have access to discounts on products and services at participating merchants and retailers. Therefore, those who plan to spend at least $3,000 a year (to earn the 1% cash rebate), plan to use their Cashback Bonus® award at participating retailers (to earn double cash rebates), and plan to pay in full each month after the introductory rate expires (to avoid costly finance charges) will benefit most from what the Discover® More(SM) Card - Clear has to offer.

Accrued rebates are invested in a tax-advantaged college savings plan, which is managed by top investment firms. The maximum rebate amount that can be accumulated per year from the 1% college savings is $300. Rebates earned from the 10% college savings on grocery and drugstore items and the 2% college savings on gas purchases are unlimited. Upromise® is a free service that helps cardholders save for college through their everyday purchases. The card has a reasonable interest rate for purchases and balance transfers as compared to other reward cards. It is important to note, however, that there is a minimum cap of 19.99% for cash advances; so no matter how low the Prime Rate falls (the APR is tied to the Prime Rate), the interest rate will not go below the minimum cap. Cardholders can expect common platinum benefits that include up to $1,000,000 in travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, and various travel and emergency assistance services. This card also offers discounts on various products and services for students at participating merchants and retailers. Therefore, those who plan to take advantage of the introductory offer, would like to participate in a college savings reward program, and will take advantage of the many perks and discounts will benefit most from what the Citi® Upromise® Card has to offer.

Eufora™ Associate Prepaid MasterCard®:  The Eufora™ Associate Prepaid MasterCard®, issued by BANKFIRST, is a stored value card designed for those who have fair, poor, bad, or no credit history and would like to earn income for referrals. Very rarely do prepaid cards offer benefits, yet the Eufora™ Associate Prepaid MasterCard® offers a unique income opportunity for cardholders. Each time a cardholder refers a new applicant to any Eufora™ MasterCard® card level, that cardholder will earn $20 per year if the referred applicant is approved and maintains their membership in good standing. A major drawback is that the cardholder only earns “commissions” for referrals at the Associate level, even if the referral is for a higher level Preferred or Elite card. These two higher earning levels have higher annual fees, but offer more benefits and opportunity for increased income, as the referral fees are considerably greater (see our reviews on the Eufora™ Preferred Prepaid and Elite Prepaid MasterCard®). In addition to the referral program, for every $100 spent cardholders automatically receive one entry into a monthly drawing for one of thirty featured cars. The annual fee for the card is $29.95 per year and there are no participation or application fees, which are usually associated with stored value cards. In order to use the card, cardholders need to first make a deposit in advance for a set amount (ranging between $5 to $5,000 per deposit), which determines the amount that can be spent on the card. For instance, if an individual were to deposit $100, they could only use up to $100 of credit for future purchases (there is a maximum of $5,000 that can be held in the account at any one time). Funds may be loaded onto the card through an existing checking or savings account ($300 maximum), money orders, bank wire transfers, payroll direct deposits, or retail locations. Eufora™ may also load the card directly from earned referrals (subject to their terms and conditions). So in the first year, a cardholder can expect to pay a total of $29.95 in fees, which is very reasonable for this type of card (this does not include any reload or penalty fees). An additional card can be provided for the account for a fee of $9.95. Therefore, those who are looking for a stored value card with which they can pay in advance for purchases and would like an opportunity to earn extra income will benefit most from what the Eufora™ Associate Prepaid MasterCard® has to offer. However, applicants may want to consider applying for either the Eufora™ Preferred or Elite MasterCard®, as the potential revenue far outweighs the difference in the annual fee.

Eufora™ Preferred Credit Builder Prepaid MasterCard®:  The Eufora™ Preferred Credit Builder Prepaid MasterCard®, issued by BANKFIRST, is a stored value card designed for those who have fair, poor, bad, or no credit history and would like to rebuild their credit, as well as have the chance to earn income for referrals. Not often do prepaid cards offer benefits; however, the Eufora™ Preferred Credit Builder Prepaid MasterCard® offers a unique income opportunity for cardholders. Each time a cardholder refers a new applicant to the Eufora™ Preferred or Elite MasterCard®, that cardholder will earn $50 per year if the referred applicant is approved and maintains their membership in good standing. Each time a cardholder refers a new applicant to the Eufora™ Associate MasterCard®, that cardholder will earn $20 per year if the referred applicant is approved and maintains their membership in good standing. A minor drawback is that the cardholder only earns “commissions” for referrals at the Preferred level, even if the referral is for an Elite card. Elite card members pay a higher annual fee, but have greater earning potential, as the referral fees are considerably larger. In addition to the unique income program, this card offers several benefits, such as purchase protection, auto rental insurance, and up to $100,000 in travel accident insurance. For every $100 spent, cardholders automatically receive one entry into a monthly drawing for one of thirty featured cars. The annual fee for the card is $59.95 per year and there are no participation or application fees, which are usually associated with stored value cards. In order to use the card, cardholders need to first make a deposit in advance for a set amount (ranging between $10 to $300 per deposit), which determines the amount that can be spent on the card. So in the first year, a cardholder can expect to pay a total of $59.95 in fees, which is very reasonable for this type of card (this does not include any reload or penalty fees). An additional card can be provided for the account for a fee of $9.95. For those who wish to establish or rebuild their credit, the card offers a service called “Credit Builder” which reports to a credit bureau. The service is provided for a total of two years and has a $19.95 processing fee, along with a monthly fee of $6.65 for the first year (a total of $79.80). No monthly fee will be charged for the second year of service. Therefore, those who are looking for a stored value card which enables them to pay in advance for purchases and would like an opportunity to earn extra income will benefit most from what the Eufora™ Preferred Credit Builder Prepaid MasterCard® has to offer. However, applicants may want to consider applying for the Eufora™ Elite MasterCard®, as the potential opportunity to earn revenue far outweighs the difference in the annual fee.

Eufora™ Elite Credit Builder Prepaid MasterCard®:  The Eufora™ Elite Credit Builder Prepaid MasterCard®, issued by BANKFIRST, is a stored value card designed for those who have fair, poor, bad, or no credit history and would like to rebuild their credit, as well as have the chance to earn income for referrals. Not often do prepaid cards offer benefits; however, the Eufora™ Elite Credit Builder Prepaid MasterCard® offers a unique income opportunity for cardholders. Each time a cardholder refers a new applicant to the Eufora™ Elite MasterCard®, that cardholder will earn $90 per year if the referred applicant is approved and maintains their membership in good standing. Each time a cardholder refers a new applicant to the Eufora™ Preferred MasterCard®, that cardholder will earn $50 per year if the referred applicant is approved and maintains their membership in good standing. Lastly, each time a cardholder refers a new applicant to the Eufora™ Associate MasterCard®, that cardholder will receive $20 per year if the referred applicant is approved and maintains their membership in good standing. At the Elite level, the cardholder earns “commissions” for referrals at every card level. The two lower earning levels (Associate and Preferred) have lower annual fees, but the referral fees are considerably less. For instance, if an Associate level cardholder refers an Elite level cardholder, that cardholder will receive $20 as opposed to $50. The annual fee for the card is $99.95 per year, but since there are no participation or application fees (which are usually associated with stored value cards), this card is less costly than most prepaid cards offered. In addition to the unique income program, the card offers the following benefits: purchase protection, auto rental insurance, and up to $200,000 in travel accident insurance. For every $100 spent, cardholders automatically receive one entry into a monthly drawing for one of thirty featured cars. In order to use the card, cardholders need to first make a deposit in advance for a set amount (ranging between $5 to $5000 per deposit), which determines the amount that can be spent on the card. So in the first year, a cardholder can expect to pay a total of $99.95 in fees (this does not include any reload or penalty fees). An additional card can be provided for the account for a fee of $9.95. For those who wish to establish or rebuild their credit, the card offers a service called “Credit Builder” which reports to a credit bureau. The service is provided for a total of two years and has a $19.95 processing fee, along with a monthly fee of $10.00 for the first year (a total of $120.00). No monthly fee will be charged for the second year of service. Therefore, those who are looking for a stored value card in which they can pay in advance for purchases and would like an opportunity to earn extra income will benefit most from what the Eufora™ Elite Credit Builder Prepaid MasterCard® has to offer.

Wired Plastic™ Prepaid Visa® Card:  The Wired Plastic™ Prepaid Visa® Card, issued by BANKFIRST, is a stored value card designed for those who may have difficulty in obtaining an unsecured credit card. Although the card does not require a security deposit, it does require payments in advance, which are then used to offset future purchases made with the card. There is no interest applied on the account, no annual fee, and none of the other charges similarly found with most unsecured credit cards. There are also fewer credentials required in comparison to common unsecured credit cards, such as a no credit check policy, no employment verification, and so forth. Nevertheless, it is important to note that there are some fees associated with this card, such as a one-time application fee of $9.95, a monthly maintenance fee of $3.95 ($47.40 annually), and a minimum initial load amount of $20. So in the first year alone, a cardholder can expect to pay a total of $57.35 in fees. This is very reasonable for this type of card. It is common for stored value cards to lack benefits; however, this card does offer automatic bill payment, direct deposit, and access to a unique reward program. Through the Wired Points Rewards program, one point is earned for each dollar spent on purchases made with the card. Points do not expire and there is no limit to the number of points that may be earned per year. Points can be redeemed for long distance calling cards, music downloads, a variety of ring tones, and prepaid wireless airtime at participating partners. Therefore, those who are looking for a stored value card to pay in advance for purchases, do not mind paying upfront fees, and will take advantage of the reward program may find the Wired Plastic™ Prepaid Visa® Card to be a beneficial option.

Continental Airlines Business MasterCard®:  The Continental Airlines Business MasterCard®, issued by Chase, is designed for those with very good credit who would like to earn free travel for business-related expenses and who travel regularly on Continental Airlines. Through the airline reward program, cardholders earn one mile for every dollar spent on the card and double miles for Continental tickets purchased directly from Continental. Cardholders also earn double miles at over 10,000 restaurants across the U.S. and Canada, and they can earn triple miles or more at participating merchants when they register online at onepass.rewardsnetwork.com. Plus, cardholders receive 15,000 bonus miles after their first purchase. There is no limit to the amount of miles that can be earned, and they do not expire. Earned miles can be applied towards free travel via Continental and participating airline partners. The APR for purchases and balance transfers is above average, but there is a low introductory offer that applies to purchases and balance transfers for the first six months. The annual fee for the card is $75, and it is $20 for each additional cardholder. Aside from the reward program, the card provides several cardholder benefits such as travel accident insurance, extended warranties on purchases, auto rental insurance, and consolidated expense statements. Cardholders also receive a 5% discount on all published Continental fares purchased at continental.com for one full year. Therefore, those who plan to pay in full each month (to avoid finance charges), do not mind paying an annual fee of $75, and plan to take advantage of the airline reward program will benefit most from what the Continental Airlines Business MasterCard® has to offer.

WorldPerks® Visa® Platinum Card:  The WorldPerks® Visa® Platinum Card, issued by U.S. Bank, is ideal for those with very good credit who travel regularly on Northwest Airlines® or any of their airline partners. Through the reward program, cardholders earn one mile for each dollar spent on purchases. Cardholders receive 55 miles each year when they pay the annual fee, and up to five miles per dollar can also be earned at participating restaurants. Upon approval, up to 7,500 bonus miles are applied to the account. Earned miles can be redeemed for free travel with Northwest Airlines® or any of their partners. Although miles do not expire, there are some mileage restrictions. For instance, those who spend more than $50,000 in any calendar year or over $10,000 per billing cycle will be limited to one mile for every two dollars spent over that amount. Nevertheless, those who prefer to have their credit card bill automatically paid in full each month (or are members of Northwest® WorldPerks® Platinum Elite, Gold Elite, or Silver Elite) will be exempt from all reward limitations. For an airline reward card, the $55 annual fee is considered reasonable, but the interest rate applied to purchases is above average. It is important to note that the APRs for all transactions are tied to the highest Prime Rate during a three-month period. Due to this policy, the APRs may never reach the lowest possible interest rate. In addition to the reward program, cardholders can expect common platinum benefits offered by U.S. Bank that include up to $250,000 in travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, purchase protection services, and online account access. Therefore, those who can afford to pay in full each month (to avoid finance charges), plan to sign up for the auto-payment option (to avoid reward limitations), and will be able to earn a free ticket or other travel related service within a two-year period (due to the annual fee) will benefit most from what the WorldPerks® Visa® Platinum Card has to offer.

Chase PerfectCard™ MasterCard®:  The Chase PerfectCard™ MasterCard® is designed for those with very good credit who make frequent gas purchases. Unlike other gas credit cards that require a cardholder to use their card at specific gas stations, this card allows cardholders to earn a 3% rebate on gasoline purchased at any gas station. In addition, a 6% rebate is applied to all gasoline purchases made with the card during the first 90 days. The maximum rebate that cardholders can earn for gas purchases is $15 per month. Cardholders also earn a 1% rebate on all other purchases, which is unlimited. Aside from the reward program, the card provides several benefits that include a purchase protection plan, travel accident insurance, and auto rental insurance. For a reward card, the interest rate applied to purchases and balance transfers is reasonable (for those who qualify). There is also a 0% introductory rate that applies to both purchases and balance transfers for up to six months, and there is no annual fee associated with this card. It is important to note that finance charges applied use the "Two Cycles Average Daily Balance" method, which is a more costly method of applying finance charges for those who occasionally carry a balance in comparison to the "Average Daily Balance" method used by most card issuers. Therefore, those who plan to pay in full after the introductory rate expires (to avoid finance charges) and will use the card frequently for gasoline purchases (to earn rebates) will benefit most from what the Chase PerfectCard™ MasterCard® has to offer.

Toys"R"Us & Babies"R"Us MasterCard®:  The Toys"R"Us & Babies"R"Us MasterCard®, issued by Chase, is designed for those with average credit who would like to take advantage of the reward program. Through the reward program, cardholders earn four points per $1 spent on eligible purchases at Toys"R"Us and Babies"R"Us and one point per $1 spent on all other eligible purchases. Each time the cardholder earns 1,000 points, they will automatically receive a 10% savings reward certificate that is valid at any Toys"R"Us or Babies"R"Us location. Cardholders may only earn two 10% savings reward certificates per month, and points earnings are limited to 24,000 annually. In addition to the reward program, the card provides common benefits that include travel accident insurance, purchase protection, and auto rental insurance. The card has no annual fee and a low introductory rate is available for purchases and balance transfers for the first six months. For those who qualify, the card has a reasonable interest rate for purchases and balance transfers, but is not ideal for those who plan to carry a revolving balance. Therefore, those who qualify for the lowest rate offered, can afford to pay in full each month (to avoid finance charges), and frequently shop at Toys"R"Us and Babies"R"Us locations will benefit most from what the Toys"R"Us & Babies"R"Us MasterCard® has to offer.

Disney Rewards® Visa® Card:  The Disney Rewards® Visa® Card, issued by Chase, is designed for those with very good credit who plan to take advantage of the reward program offered. Through the reward program, cardholders earn a 1% rebate on all purchases. Rebates are converted into Disney Dream Reward Dollars at the rate of one reward dollar for every $100 spent. There is a yearly limit of 750 Disney Dream Reward Dollars that can be earned, and rewards expire in five years (once issued, the certificate expires in one year). Reward Dollars can be redeemed for a variety of Disney merchandise and vacations. Also, cardholders will receive a $15 Disney Store Gift Card after their first transaction. In addition to the reward program, cardholders have access to common platinum benefits provided by Chase that include travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, and various travel and emergency assistance services. Cardholders will also receive great savings and special benefits at the Disneyland® Resort and Walt Disney World® Resort. For those who qualify, there is a 0% introductory rate for purchases and balance transfers for up to twelve months, a reasonable interest rate for purchases and balance transfers after the introductory rate expires, and no annual fee. There is also 0% APR financing for up to six months on select Disney vacation packages. Therefore, those who qualify for the lowest rate offered, can afford to pay in full each month after the introductory rate expires (to avoid finance charges), and plan to take advantage of the special Disney offers (to earn the additional rebates) will benefit most from what the Disney Rewards® Visa® Card has to offer.

Discover® Student Clear Card:  The Discover® Student Clear Card, issued by Discover, provides a Cashback Bonus® Reward program to cardholders. Aside from the reward program, the card also provides standard benefits including online account management, no liability for unauthorized transactions, and discounts on products and services at participating merchants and retailers. Therefore, those who plan to spend over $3,000 a year (to earn the 1% cash rebate), plan to use their Cashback Bonus® award at participating retailers (to earn a full 5% rebate and double cash rebates), and plan to pay in full each month (to avoid costly finance charges) will benefit most from what the Discover® Student Clear Card has to offer. Students who plan to carry a large balance should consider a lower interest rate card (one that applies the "Average Daily Balance" method), as any finance charges saved will be more than any cash rebates earned.

Miles by Discover® Card:  The Miles by Discover® Card, issued by Discover, is designed for those with very good credit who plan to take advantage of the travel reward program. Through the reward program, cardholders earn double miles on up to $3,000 in travel and restaurant purchases, and one mile for every dollar spent on general purchases. Earned miles can be redeemed for airfare or reduced airfare on most major U.S. based airlines with no blackout dates. Miles can also be redeemed for gift cards from 50 brand-name partners or cash. Cardholders earn 1,000 bonus miles in every month that they make a purchase during the first year of cardmembership for up to 12,000 bonus miles. There is a maximum of 60,000 miles that may be accumulated per year, but miles will not expire as long as the account is active within a 36 month period. In addition, the card offers platinum benefits that include auto rental insurance, up to $500,000 in travel accident insurance, and various Internet account related services. This card has an attractive 0% introductory rate for twelve months on purchases and balance transfers with no annual fee. The APR for this card is reasonably low, although it is important to note that only higher qualifying applicants will receive the lowest rate available. Finance charges applied use the "Two Cycles Average Daily Balance" method, which is a more costly method in applying finance charges for those who occasionally carry a balance as compared to the "Average Daily Balance" method used by most card issuers. Therefore, those who plan to take advantage of the introductory rate and the reward program will benefit most from what the Miles by Discover® Card has to offer.

New Millennium Bank Platinum Visa®/MasterCard®:  The New Millennium Bank Platinum Visa®/MasterCard®, issued by New Millennium Bank, is designed for those with limited or poor credit who may be having a difficult time in obtaining a standard unsecured credit card. Most often, secured credit cards do not have any additional perks or benefits; however, this card does provide several benefits including auto rental insurance, up to $100,000 in travel accident insurance, and an extended warranty for purchases. Perhaps the best benefit is the free companion airline ticket, which is awarded to the cardholder after they have been approved for the card. The card provides cardholders with a free membership to TheWorldsBestTravelClub.com, which offers discounts on a variety of travel services and provides the cardholder with a $69 cash rebate on their first condo booking. Applicants also have the chance to participate in a referral program that rewards cardholders with up to $50 per approved referral. Although the APR applied to purchases is above average for a secured card, this card does apply interest to the deposit amount required to secure the account, which is a nice benefit. This card also has a no credit check and a no turn-down policy. There is an annual fee of $59, which is slightly above average for a secured card, as well as a one time processing fee of $99.95 ($129.95 if the applicant would like to be issued both a Visa® and a MasterCard®). It is important to note that a major drawback to the card is that there is no grace period for purchases. This means that interest will be applied immediately to any charges made with the card. Therefore, those who do not mind accumulating finance charges once a transaction is posted and can afford the $300 minimum deposit will benefit most from what the New Millennium Bank Platinum Visa®/MasterCard® has to offer.

Discover® More(SM) Card - American Flag:  The Discover® More(SM) Card - American Flag, issued by Discover, is designed for those with very good credit who are looking for a cash reward credit card. Aside from the reward program, the card also provides several platinum benefits including up to $500,000 in travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, and various fraud and security protection services. The card has no annual fee and an attractive 0% introductory rate on purchases and balance transfers for twelve months. Therefore, those who plan to spend at least $3,000 a year (to earn the 1% cash rebate), plan to use their Cashback Bonus® award at participating retailers (to earn double cash rebates), and plan to pay in full each month after the introductory rate expires (to avoid costly finance charges) will benefit most from what the Discover® More(SM) Card - American Flag has to offer. *It is important to note that like many cash reward cards, the highest rebate offered will not apply to all purchases made with the credit card. In this case, 1% will only be applied to those purchases made after the cardholder spends over $3,000 in one year; so the overall cash rebate earned will be less than 1%, depending on the amount spent. For instance, if the cardholder were to spend $4,000, only $1,000 of this amount would be applied towards the 1% rebate. However, this does not take into account any promotional offers or the full 5% Cashback Bonus® award.

Cardholders receive one mile for every dollar spent on general purchases and two miles for every dollar spent at supermarkets, drugstores, gas stations, home improvement and hardware stores, the U.S. Postal Service, on wireless phone bills, and on Delta Air Lines purchases. The APR for purchases and balance transfers is high for a business card and above average for an airline reward card. Therefore, it is not ideal for those who plan to carry a revolving balance. However, there is a 0% introductory APR on purchases for the first six months and a 9.99% introductory APR on balance transfers submitted during the first six months for the life of the balance. Cardholders can also expect many common benefits and services from the card, such as travel accident insurance, several purchase protection related services, and discounts at participating merchants and retailers. Points expire on the last day of the Billing Cycle that closes in December of the fourth calendar year following the year in which they were earned. The interest rate for purchases and balance transfers is reasonable for a reward card (for those who qualify), although not ideal for those who plan to carry a balance. There is a 0% introductory rate that applies to purchases, balance transfers, and cash advance checks for the first six billing cycles, and the annual fee is considerably low. Aside from the reward program, cardholders can expect common benefits such as purchase replacement, total security protection, and auto rental insurance. Therefore, those who qualify for the lowest rate offered and will take advantage of the reward program will benefit most from what the MilesEdge® Card has to offer.

Citi® PremierPass(SM) Card - Elite Level:  The Citi® PremierPass(SM) Card - Elite Level, issued by Citibank, is designed for those with excellent credit who are looking for a reward card that is compatible with any airline. The maximum number of points that can be earned per year is 200,000, and points will expire in three years if the account has not been active during that time. Points can be redeemed for travel on any airline, gift certificates, merchandise, and more. The maximum number of points that can be earned per year is 100,000, and points will expire in three years if the account has not been active during that time.  Citi® Bronze®/AAdvantage® MasterCard®:  The Citi® Bronze®/AAdvantage® MasterCard®, one of several Citi® AAdvantage® credit cards offered by Citibank, is designed for those with average credit who travel regularly on American Airlines. Through the reward program, cardholders earn one mile for every two dollars spent on the card. Cardholders also receive 5,000 bonus miles after the first purchase is made with the card. Miles are redeemable for flights on over 25 partner airlines, car rentals, and stays at hundreds of hotels worldwide. There is a maximum of 25,000 miles that can be accumulated each year (AAdvantage Executive Platinum®, AAdvantage Platinum®, and AAdvantage Gold® members are excluded from this limit.), and points have no expiration as long as there is account activity at least once every three years. At first glance, it may be difficult to distinguish between all of the Citi® AAdvantage® credit cards due to their close similarities. The Bronze card differs from the others as it has no annual fee and offers no extraordinary benefits or services to cardholders aside from the reward program. It is important to note that although the card has no annual fee, the mileage awarded is about half of what is normally provided by an airline reward card. The APR for purchases is above average for a reward card. There is also a minimum cap of 19.99% for cash advances; so no matter how low the Prime Rate falls (the APR is tied to the Prime Rate), the interest rate will not go below the minimum cap. Aside from the reward program, cardholders can expect several standard benefits that include travel accident insurance, no liability for unauthorized transactions, and various Internet account related services. Therefore, those who would like an airline reward card with no annual fee and do not plan to spend more than $50,000 on the card in a year (due to the yearly limit on miles) will benefit most from what the Citi® Bronze®/AAdvantage® MasterCard® has to offer.

Citi® mtvU™ Platinum Select® Visa® Card for College Students:  The Citi® mtvU™ Platinum Select® Visa® Card for College Students, issued by Citibank, is a credit card designed specifically for students with a unique reward program that awards cardholders for using credit wisely and for receiving good grades. Through the reward program, cardholders earn one point for general purchases and five points for every dollar spent at restaurants, bookstores, record stores, movie theaters, and video rentals. The program also awards 25 points when payments are made on time and spending does not surpass the credit limit. Twice per year, anywhere between 250 and 2,000 points may be awarded dependent on the student's GPA (beginning at 2.5). These points can be redeemed for gift cards, CDs, a VIP mtvU Spring Break Pass, tickets to the MTV Video Music Awards, and airline tickets. There is a 75,000 yearly limit to the number of points that can be earned, and points expire in five years. This card has no annual fee, but the interest rate for purchases and balance transfers is above average for a student card. However, there is a 0% introductory rate that applies to all transactions for the first six months (a rare benefit for a student credit card). It is important to understand that there is a minimum cap of 19.99% for cash advances; so no matter how low the Prime Rate falls (the APR is tied to the Prime Rate), the interest rate will not go below the minimum cap. The card provides platinum cardholder benefits that include up to $1,000,000 in travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, and various travel and emergency assistance services.  Chase Free Cash Rewards(SM) Visa® Card:  The Chase Free Cash Rewards(SM) Visa® Card, issued by Chase, is designed for those with very good credit who would like a card that offers a cash back reward program. Through the reward program, cardholders earn one point for each dollar spent on all purchases. Cardholders are also awarded 1,000 bonus points with their first purchase. Each time the cardholder accrues 2,500 points, they will receive either a $25 gift check or a $25 gift certificate from their choice of various merchants and retailers. The amount of points you can earn is limited to 60,000 points per year. For those who qualify, the card has a reasonable interest rate for purchases and balance transfers in comparison with other reward cards. There is also a 0% introductory rate on purchases and balance transfers for the first six billing cycles and no annual fee. In addition to the reward program, cardholders have access to common platinum benefits provided by Chase, such as auto rental insurance, extended warranties for purchases, and travel accident insurance. Therefore, those who qualify for the lowest rate offered and will take advantage of the reward program will benefit most from what the Chase Free Cash Rewards(SM) Visa® Card has to offer.

Western Union® Prepaid MasterCard®:  The Western Union® Prepaid MasterCard®, issued by BANKFIRST, is a stored value card designed for those who may have difficulty in obtaining an unsecured credit card. Although the card does not require a bank account to be opened, it does require payments in advance, which are then used to offset future purchases made with the card. The card can be funded at participating U.S. Western Union locations for $3.95. The card may also be funded directly from the cardholder's paycheck onto the card account. The funds from the paycheck are then automatically loaded to the card every pay period. Loads cannot exceed more than $2,500 and there is a maximum of $9,500 that can be added to the card in a one-month period. There are some fees associated with this card. Although there is a non-refundable $9.95 enrollment fee that must be paid during the initial card load, this is extremely reasonable since most other prepaid cards have application and processing fees that are much higher. There is also a monthly account maintenance fee of $4.95, which amounts to $59.40 annually. However, the monthly account maintenance fee will be waived for the statement period immediately following the date on which a direct deposit load is posted to the card account, which allows cardholders who sign up for direct deposits to greatly reduce the fees associated with this card. It is important to note that this card does not report cardholder transactions to credit bureaus, which may be considered a major drawback for those who are trying to establish credit. Therefore, those who are looking for a stored value card with the opportunity for very low fees and do not need to build credit may find the Western Union® Prepaid MasterCard® to be a beneficial option. :  Bank of America Cash Rewards Credit Card:  The Bank of America Cash Rewards Credit Card, issued by FIA Card Services, N.A., is designed for those with good credit who want to receive cash back for their purchases. Through the reward program, cardholders earn a 1% rebate per dollar spent on all qualified purchases. For every $2,500 the cardholder spends, they will be eligible to receive a $25 statement credit, which they must claim by calling and requesting the rebate be credited to their account. There is no limit to the amount of rebates that may be earned, and any unclaimed rebates from qualified purchases will expire after five years. The card has no annual fee, a low introductory rate for both balance transfers and cash advance checks for the first twelve billing cycles, and a very low fixed interest rate once the introductory rate expires. It is important to understand that the APR for purchases and balance transfers will vary according to the applicant's credit history and will be either 7.9% or 13.99%. Therefore, those who will be able to take advantage of the reward program and the introductory rate will benefit most from what the Bank of America Cash Rewards Credit Card has to offer.

Make-A-Wish® Platinum Visa® Card:  The Make-A-Wish® Platinum Visa® Card, issued by FIA Card Services, N.A., is designed for those with very good credit who would like to contribute to the Make-A-Wish Foundation®. Each time the card is used to make a purchase, a contribution is made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. The card has no annual fee. There is a 1.9% introductory rate on purchases, balance transfers, and cash advance checks for the first six billing cycles, but the interest rate for purchases and balance transfers is above average after the introductory rate expires. In addition to donations, the card offers cardholders platinum benefits such as auto rental insurance, various travel and emergency assistance services, purchase replacement, and no liability for unauthorized transactions. Therefore, those who would like to contribute to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® and plan to take advantage of the introductory offer will benefit most from what the Make-A-Wish® Platinum Visa® Card has to offer.

Discover® Student Tropical Beach Card:  The Discover® Student Tropical Beach Card, issued by Discover, is designed for those with an average or limited credit history who are looking for a cash reward credit card. Through the reward program, cardholders earn a 5% rebate for purchases made in popular categories that change four times a year like home, apparel, and more. Plus, cardholders earn up to 1% for general purchases. Those who spend up to $1,500 on general purchases will receive a .25% rebate, between $1,500 and $3,000 will receive a .5% rebate, and over $3,000 will receive a full 1% rebate.* Cardholders also earn a 0.25% rebate at select warehouse clubs and discount stores, and they can earn a double Cashback Bonus® for redeeming their rebates for gift certificates from participating Discover Card Partners. There is no yearly limit on the amount of rebates that can be earned, and rebates do not expire as long as the account is active within a 36 month period. Aside from the reward program, the card also provides standard benefits including online account management, no liability for unauthorized transactions, and discounts on products and services at participating merchants and retailers. Therefore, those who plan to spend over $3,000 a year (to earn the 1% cash rebate), plan to use their Cashback Bonus® award at participating retailers (to earn a full 5% rebate and double cash rebates), and plan to pay in full each month (to avoid costly finance charges) will benefit most from what the Discover® Student Tropical Beach Card has to offer. Students who plan to carry a large balance should consider a lower interest rate card (one that applies the "Average Daily Balance" method), as any finance charges saved will be more than any cash rebates earned.

Efectiva™ Platinum Plus® Visa®:  The Efectiva™ Platinum Plus® Visa®, issued by FIA Card Services, N.A., is designed for those who plan to take advantage of the cash back reward program. Cardholders will earn one point for every $100 in net monthly purchases, five points for every $2,500 in net monthly balance transfers from non-FIA Card Services accounts, and five bonus points for the first purchase. For every 25 points that are earned, the cardholder receives a $25 check or a $25 credit to their Bank of America checking or savings account. The card has a reasonably low interest rate for purchases (for a reward card), no annual fee, and a 0% introductory rate that can be applied toward purchases, balance transfers, and cash advance checks for the first six billing cycles. In addition to the cash back rebate, cardholders can expect platinum benefits including auto rental insurance, various travel and emergency assistance services, and purchase replacement. Therefore, those who wish to participate in the cash back reward program and plan to pay in full each month after the introductory rate expires (to avoid costly finance charges) will benefit most from what the Efectiva™ Platinum Plus® Visa® has to offer.

In addition, there is a 0% introductory rate offered on purchases and balance transfers for the first six months of cardmembership. It is important to note that finance charges applied use the "Two Cycles Average Daily Balance" method, which is a more costly method in applying finance charges for those who occasionally carry a balance as compared to the "Average Daily Balance" method used by most card issuers. This card also offers a variety of additional benefits such as travel accident insurance, no liability for unauthorized transactions, auto rental insurance, and extended warranties for purchases.  Account Now™ Vantage Debit MasterCard®:  The Account Now™ Vantage Debit MasterCard®, issued by MetaBank, is a stored value card designed for those who may have difficulty in obtaining a standard unsecured credit card. Although the card does not require a banking account to be opened, it does require payments in advance, which are then used to offset future purchases made with the card. Advance payments can be funded directly from the cardholder's paycheck and automatically loaded to the card every pay period. The card can also be loaded by wiring money from an established bank account or through MoneyGram® ExpressPayment®. It is important to note that there are some fees associated with this card that include a processing fee of $19.95 and a monthly participation fee of $4.95, which amounts to $59.40 annually. It should also be noted that there is a $0.50 transaction fee that is charged for each purchase made with the card. So, in the first year alone, a cardholder can expect to pay a minimum total of $79.35 in fees. It is common for stored value cards to lack benefits; however, this card does offer a free bill pay service (for the first seven transactions each month) and access to a free credit builder service, which reports bill payment information to a national credit reporting agency. Therefore, those who are looking for a stored value card with flexibility to pay in advance for purchases, do not mind paying upfront fees, and would like the opportunity to participate in the credit builder service will find the Account Now™ Vantage Debit MasterCard® to be a beneficial option. This card offers cardholders their choice of three unique plans, which differ in terms of the fees and the services that are offered, so cardholders should review the terms and conditions before applying to see which plan will fit their needs the most (the current card review reflects the plus plan).

In addition, this card provides common benefits and services including extended warranties for purchases and no liability for unauthorized purchases. Therefore, those who have a limited credit history and will make use of the common platinum benefits will benefit most from what the Capital One® Platinum card has to offer.

The Business Gold Rewards Card:  The Business Gold Rewards Card, issued by American Express®, is a charge card designed for business owners with good credit who plan to pay their business-related expenses in full each month and would like to participate in the Membership Rewards® program for no additional fee. Although this card does not offer the option to pay balances over time, it does help to prevent businesses from accumulating too much credit card debt, which can often be the case when paying only the minimum due with high interest rates. The Membership Rewards® program is one of the most flexible reward programs in the credit card industry due to the variety of merchandise and services that can be redeemed for accumulated points. In addition, points never expire, and there is no maximum number of points that can be earned. Not only do cardholders earn one point for every dollar in purchases and have the opportunity to earn additional points through participating merchants, but they also receive 25,000 Membership Rewards® bonus points, redeemable for one domestic round-trip airline ticket, 5,000 bonus points after their first purchase, 5,000 bonus points for reaching $20,000 in spending, 20,000 additional bonus points for reaching $50,000 in spending, and another 10,000 bonus points upon the one-year renewal of the card. With a spending average of just $5,000 per month, cardholders can potentially earn up to 100,000 points or more in the first year alone. There is an annual fee of $125 for the primary cardholder and $45 for each additional cardholder; however, the fee for the primary cardholder and for additional cardholders will be waived for the first year. Through OPEN Savings, cardholders will receive discounts on products and services from participating partners including FedEx®, AT&T®, Hertz®, and more. It is important to review the disclosures for participating merchant discounts, as restrictions and limitations do apply. As with all business credit cards issued by American Express®, cardholders will be able to take advantage of various services and benefits including purchase protection, auto rental insurance, up to $100,000 in travel accident insurance, and various travel and emergency assistance services. Therefore, those who can afford to pay in full each month and will be able to take advantage of the reward program as well as the additional discounts at participating merchants will benefit most from what The Business Gold Rewards Card has to offer.

New Millennium Bank Gold Visa®/MasterCard®:  The New Millennium Bank Gold Visa®/MasterCard®, issued by New Millennium Bank, is designed for those with limited or poor credit who may be having a difficult time in obtaining a standard unsecured credit card. Most often, secured credit cards do not have any additional perks or benefits; however, this card does provide several benefits including auto rental insurance, up to $100,000 in travel accident insurance, and an extended warranty for purchases. Although the APR that is applied to purchases is above average for a secured card, this card does apply interest to the deposit amount required to secure the account, which is a nice benefit. This card also has a no credit check and a no turn-down policy. There is an annual fee of $59, which is slightly above average for a secured card, as well as a one time processing fee of $69.95 ($99.95 if the applicant would like to be issued both a Visa® and a MasterCard®). It is important to note that a major drawback to the card is that there is no grace period for purchases. This means that interest will be applied immediately to any charges made with the card. Therefore, those who do not mind accumulating finance charges once a transaction is posted and can afford the $300 minimum deposit will benefit most from what the New Millennium Bank Gold Visa®/MasterCard® has to offer.

There is an annual fee of $150, and there is a $9.95 maintenance fee that will apply in each month in which the cardholder carries a principal balance after they use their card. It also charges a one-time processing fee of $4.95. This means that the total amount in fees that a cardholder can expect to pay in the first year will be $274.35, if the cardholder chooses to carry a balance on a monthly basis. This card does have an above average interest rate for purchases, and the rate for cash advances is high, but those cardholders who can pay their monthly balances in full will be able to avoid these high rates as well as the monthly maintenance fee while still taking advantage of this card. It is important to note that there are minimum caps for all transactions, so no matter how low the Prime Rate falls (the APRs are tied to the Prime Rate), the interest rates will not go below the minimum caps. Therefore, those who can pay their balances in full, do not mind paying the various fees, and would prefer an unsecured credit card may find the Imagine Gold MasterCard® to be beneficial.

Points are redeemable for hotel stays, dining, shopping, and auto rentals. The card has no annual fee, a 0% introductory rate for both balance transfers and cash advance checks for the first twelve billing cycles, and a very low fixed interest rate once the introductory rate expires. Therefore, those who want to participate in the TripRewards® program, would like to earn additional points as a cardmember, and will take advantage of the introductory rate will benefit most from what the TripRewards® MasterCard® Credit Card has to offer.

Cardholders receive five bonus points after their first purchase, and they receive another five points for every $2,500 in balance transfers per billing cycle (up to 25 points per billing cycle). One point is equal to $1 in rebates, and cardholders can earn up to 600 points per calendar year. There is a maximum of 60,000 points that can be earned per year. The card has an above average interest rate for purchases and balance transfers (for a student card), no annual fee, and a 0% introductory rate for purchases and balance transfers through the first six months of membership. However, finance charges applied use the "Two Cycles Average Daily Balance" method, which is a more costly method in applying finance charges for those who occasionally carry a balance as compared to the "Average Daily Balance" method used by most card issuers. In addition to the reward program, the card offers cardholder benefits provided by Chase that include travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, and various travel and emergency assistance services. Therefore, students who can afford to pay in full each month after the introductory rate expires (to avoid finance charges) and plan to take advantage of the rewards program will benefit the most from what the Chase Student Flexible Rewards Card has to offer.

The card offers high interest rates, and all of the variable interest rates have minimum caps. This simply means that no matter how low the Prime Rate drops, the interest rates on the account will not go below the stated minimum caps. In addition, the APRs for all transactions are tied to the highest Prime Rate during a 90-day period. Therefore, due to this policy, the APRs may never reach the lowest possible interest rates. The annual fee applied to new accounts is $150. There is also a monthly maintenance fee of $6, which amounts to $72 per year. The total amount of standard fees (not including penalty or default fees) is $222 for the first year. However, the best feature of this card is that it does report to the credit bureaus, which may be worth the additional fees. Therefore, those who can afford to pay in full each month (to avoid high finance charges), do not mind paying the various fees associated with the card, and have a limited credit history will benefit most from the Tribute® MasterCard® Gold Card.

Discover® More(SM) Card - Sealife Collection:  The Discover® More(SM) Card - Sealife Collection, issued by Discover, is designed for those with very good credit who are looking for a Cashback Bonus® reward credit card. Through the reward program, cardholders earn a 5% rebate for purchases made in popular categories that change four times a year like home, apparel, and more. Aside from the reward program, the card also provides several platinum benefits including travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, and various fraud and security protection services. Therefore, those who plan to spend at least $3,000 a year (to earn the 1% cash rebate), plan to use their Cashback Bonus® award at participating retailers (to earn double cash rebates), and plan to pay in full each month after the introductory rate expires (to avoid costly finance charges) will benefit most from what the Discover® More(SM) Card - Sealife Collection has to offer.

As an added bonus, cardholders can earn up to a double Cashback Bonus® for redeeming their rebates for gift certificates from participating Discover Card Partners. There is no yearly limit on the amount of rebates that can be earned, and rebates do not expire as long as the account is active within a 36 month period. The card has no annual fee and an attractive 0% introductory rate on card purchases and balance transfers for twelve months. The APR for this card is reasonable for those who qualify. In this case, 1% will only be applied to those purchases made after the cardholder spends over $5,000 in one year, so the overall cash rebate earned will be less than 1%, depending on the amount spent. This card has a slightly above average interest rate for purchases and balance transfers, but it does offer a 0% introductory APR on purchases for the first six months. There is also no annual fee. OptOne Prepaid MasterCard® Card:  The OptOne Prepaid MasterCard® Card, issued by Monterey County Bank, is a stored value card designed for those who may have difficulty in obtaining a standard unsecured credit card. When applying online, a bank account is required to fund the card. These advance payments are then used to offset future purchases made with the card. Advance payments can be funded directly from the cardholder's paycheck and automatically loaded to the card every pay period. The card can also be loaded at participating banks or through the cardholder's existing checking or savings account. Excluding direct deposits, which are free, various fees apply for reloading the card. Although there is no annual fee, there are other fees associated with this card. There is an application fee of $59.95, a processing fee of $90, and a bonus rebate of $10, which will be credited back to qualified accounts as the opening balance. There is also a monthly participation fee of $6.95 that amounts to $83.40 annually. In total, cardholders can expect to pay $233.35 in fees the first year. There are fewer qualifications required as compared to other credit cards. There are no credit checks, no turn-downs, no security deposits, and no employment requirements. The only requirement is a verifiable address in the United States. Therefore, those who are looking for a stored value card with flexibility to pay in advance for purchases and do not mind paying upfront fees may find the OptOne Prepaid MasterCard® Card to be a beneficial option.

New Millennium Bank Black Diamond Visa®/MasterCard®:  The New Millennium Bank Black Diamond Visa®/MasterCard®, issued by New Millennium Bank, is designed for those with limited or poor credit who may be having a difficult time in obtaining a standard unsecured credit card. There is an annual fee of $59, which is slightly above average for a secured card, as well as a one time processing fee of $149.95 ($199.95 if the applicant would like to be issued both a Visa® and a MasterCard®). It is important to note that a major drawback to the card is that there is no grace period for purchases. This means that interest will be applied immediately to any charges made with the card. Therefore, those who do not mind accumulating finance charges once a transaction is posted and can afford the $300 minimum deposit will benefit most from what the New Millennium Bank Black Diamond Visa®/MasterCard® has to offer.

Discover® Student Monogram Card:  The Discover® Student Monogram Card, issued by Discover, provides a Cashback Bonus® Reward program as well as a personalized card design that displays the cardholder's initial(s). Aside from the reward program, the unique feature of this card is that cardholders can choose from three card designs that will display either their first initial or their first and last initials on the front of the card. The card also provides standard benefits including online account management, no liability for unauthorized transactions, and discounts on products and services at participating merchants and retailers. Therefore, those who plan to spend over $3,000 a year (to earn the 1% cash rebate), plan to use their Cashback Bonus® award at participating retailers (to earn a full 5% rebate and double cash rebates), and plan to pay in full each month (to avoid costly finance charges) will benefit most from what the Discover® Student Monogram Card has to offer.

The APR for purchases is above average for a reward card. There is also a minimum cap of 19.99% for cash advances; so no matter how low the Prime Rate falls (the APR is tied to the Prime Rate), the interest rate will not go below the minimum cap. However, this card does offer a 0% introductory rate on balance transfers for the first six months. Aside from the reward program, cardholders can expect several standard benefits that include travel accident insurance, no liability for unauthorized transactions, and various Internet account related services.
