No Fee Card Offer
Buy at least three American Express gift cards and enjoy no fees on the first three cards.
For extra savings, American Express offers a no fee promotion with participating malls which enables consumers to buy three or more mall brand gift cards and pay no fee on the first three.
More than 320 malls are participating, and the offer is valid from Nov. 19-Dec. 31, 2007 and limited to one transaction per person per day.
According to Stefan Happ, general manager, American Express Gift Cards, "Shoppers are planning to buy an average of six gift cards this holiday season. By purchasing American Express issued gift cards at our mall partners, consumers not only get convenience and reliability, they now can save money too."
American Express issues gift cards in partnership with many mall owners and operators, including CBL & Associates Properties, Inc., Caruso Affiliated, General Growth Properties, Inland, Jones Lang Lasalle, Lerner Enterprises, NorthPark Center, Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (PREIT), Pyramid Management, Taubman, and Westfield. The mall gift cards are for use only at merchants that accept American Express and are located within the shopping centers of the shopping mall whose logo appears on the card.
American Express is the largest issuer of "open" gift cards that can be used at many locations. The American Express Gift Card can be redeemed at U.S. retailers and restaurants that accept American Express Cards, and lets the recipient choose from millions of things and experiences, making it a popular gift choice.
American Express issues gift cards in denominations ranging from $20 to $500, and the gift cards can be refunded if lost or stolen. The American Express Gift Card is available at more than 65,000 locations, including supermarket, drug store and office supply retail chains, banks, shopping malls, and American Express Travel offices, as well as online at americanexpress.com.
