Discover Financial Services announced its fraud protection services and online customer security was ranked number one in a comprehensive, third-party report on the credit card industry.

Market research firm Corporate Insight produces the Credit Card Monitor Report and awarded Discover 'Best in Class' for its fraud information and protection services.

The Corporate Insight report evaluated the online fraud protection programs of all major credit card companies and issuers for capabilities that included visibility, ease of use and quality of resources. Discover ranked first in the industry on several counts and was recognized as one of only three companies offering the additional protection of a single-use account number program Discover Card's Secure Online Account numbers for online purchases. The report also commended Discover for offering the lowest cost 'lost wallet' credit monitoring service for customers.
